Ok, I'm a little confused about the juice channels on this.

BTW, my upgrade Fedex attempted to deliver yesterday, but alas, I wasn't here to sign for it....sigh

But anyways...

It looks to me from all the pictures and videos I've seen that the wick does NOT need to run all the way down the juice channel? How then does the wick pick up juice if it happens to flood a little into the base? and how far do you open the juice control if the wick is not visible?

Sorry if these questions are stupid. I'm just so used to the old style and this is a new game here for me.

Hi dan,

aal and the captain gave good advice on that,and it's working magic.
The juice find it's way do to gravity up the channel as the level in the tank is higher,
And when it gets lower you can always tilt,we do it any way.

Opening of half turn is a good place to start with,
Depend on the juice,so it it should be somewere between 1/4 of turn
Too 3/4 of turn.

The last work great with my Boba's bounty.

With my 20PG/80VG I can open it almost all way and still no problem. If your juice is thick it's no problem

PS I saw you're using Bobas Bounty, that is thick so you can probably open it up as much as I do

I plan To cut wick short like so on old rebuildable
Is there reason not to??

Now I go back to wick in the channel,it too wet a heavy vape to my like.
No wicking issue just don't like this buttery vape,I prefer more fine vapor analog like
With a bit dryness to it in the taste not harshness.

Ok new setup and this one vape the best.

I push my self to make 28 micro on the wick like I do with the ribbon.
So I have 1.2 ohm micro

On silica 2mm down the channels 3mm on resistance.



Now I found what was disturbing me and it's a give and take thing.
The give:
If juice come without natural wicking to the coil I get lots of vapor wet heavy dens sauna
Like vapor.
I don't like that.
So I loos the long term coil thing,and clean juice like taste??? It may be so.

When I use the wick I get finer vapor not less just more finer more as I like it,and less heavy.
But I loos long term coil because when the silica will gum I'll have to change built.

Well I don't mind that as long as I get this finer analog like vapor,so if I gum my silica
Every few days it's no time to put new built.

Also when I open juice control very little 1/4 of turn the silica will not gum as fast.
I was able to run 3 weeks on some juices with the same setup.

So no matter ribbon or 28 it's must be micro!!!
For me it's must be silica:the give

And when it gum to change setup:the take

Now it vape as old rebuildable with better ability to make difference in TH.

So there is no one way or best way,each one can find what suit him,the big thing is that by bits here
And there on GG forum I was able to collect all I needed for such a vape.

Even idea that I did not use helped me to understand what and why and how to get were I want.

So I must thank all advises given,as it's the some of all that helped me.

Its you can reuse that coil if you use thinner silica & load it (pull it through) like Capt. Steve showed in his pictures or switch it to cotton on the next build.

Thought so,maybe I try when time come for it.
But the built of the coil is no time and cost of kantal is no issue.

Cotton cotton cotton I can only say
I don't like what I'm getting from it.

I get the more vapor
I get the better wicking
I don't like the taste of the juice on it and feel of the vapor,
Something put me off,and I did wanted to taste it better just can't for know.
I don't close head on this but had enough for this round.

So maybe somewhere later I'm maybe tempt to try more
but for know all is fine don't miss any better preformenc and I
don't mind the coil building.

The interesting is that my wife feel the same and didn't like the vape though she don't have
A clue what I'm changing or why.

She do the main thing only:vape with the brass GG's ha ha.

If I take one for a minute to make new coil she is right on target:" why you playing
With this all the time,it's vape great leave mine play with yours" if it was up to
Her the coil and wick will be the same for ever and ever,ha ha that's my GG girl
a vaping queen,she don't care for the details.

Just to say that I took every advices I read here and tried a mesh only build.
5/4 wraps of 28g and mesh cut at the start of the channels.
No dry hits, no flooding. Very intense flavor.
I love the versatility of this new rebuildable part. So much fun.
Usually I prefer silica over cotton and not particularly keen of mesh but it can be done

Yes gut, I don't like much the too
concentrate flavor coming from mesh
But Ithaka hit all the tickets,and some more.
It's a category rule by one device only.

actually it's the same for all GG devices.

Ithaka/JGG combo hit load of features above all.

figur now one more thing.
the new ATTY part as higher channels then old one.
so 1/4 to 3/4 of turn don't work the same on the new part.

I open it 3 to 4 full turn and it's way better,juice travel up no problem.
if close a bit the AR on JGG it's help the juice flow up the channel.

I'm running the last setup until now it's vaping fine.

but I know next time I'll put the coil strait with screws for better TH
no need to lower it on this new atty.

I'm made some coils.
32 kantal on silica 2mm double 1.6 ohm- no good compare to old atty with Imeo ribbons!
28 kantal on silica 3mm double 1.3 ohm- same as above
28 kantal on silica 2mm 1.4 ohm- same as above
+the two from yesterday same as above.
The origin Ithaka atty with Imeo ribbon kick them all,better taste better TH better on every thing!

don't Lolisianis/Lolamos/or Lalos on me:

I give up and made again 28 kantal micro coil 1.3 ohm,
And stuff the damn...damn cotton..didn't want to but I did.
Cut it on the end of the chamber.
Ok let's say like so:this rebuildble part suit cotton micro coil built

Finely it does have very good VP/TH/FL
You know,this cotton thing well it's not so bad

So I'll do my best not to like it if I can as I always do
But it maybe the one time I will not be able to do so.

And for the love of god guys please use 1.5mm max diameter for coils with cotton. You will get better results trust me. More wraps. A microcoil is no more than 1.5mm. Yes I'm .... about it because i have been there.
