I hope you all don't mind my saying...

I've been a customer of COV for some time, and have received amazing customer service. I went to VapeBash, EXPECTING to find some special things to attract me there in the first place. I traveled 6 hours JUST to go to COV's table to buy some ready wires. That there were a handful of Ithaka's there, was beyond my expectations. I am a Caravela Fan Boi, I wanted a Penny months ago, but couldn't find one, so I bought a knockoff. Faced with REAL Ithaka's, that I could pay for and take, I bought one. NOT something I would have pre-ordered, because I had no prior experience, hence, no love, for GG.

I certainly had NO idea of the impending ....e storm regarding pre-orders. But in my tiny brain, what Bruce did was genius. Because he made it possible for fans of high end mods to actually purchase one and try it RIGHT THERE. How much difference does it REALLY make to those who pre-ordered. A day or two? He HAD to be there at the show. It is business. He had some extras, that HE paid for in advance, and took delivery of to sell if an opportunity to promote his business should arise, which it did, and which shouldn't impede on ANY pre-orders delivery, except for the fact he was busy for those two days ANYway. I mean NO disrespect, and can completely empathize with those who pre-ordered and feel screwed. Some communication would have helped matters immensely.

Bottom line, Bruce likely (in my case, certainly) won some high end modders over to GG who might not have considered them otherwise. He did not sell me someone else's mod, but VapeBash would have cost you a couple days wait whether he sold the extra 20 there or not. It was something COV had to do. I own two businesses, I KNOW how hard it is to make ALL people happy ALL the time. Seriously, I can commiserate with your agony waiting for these, they are definitely special. But let's be real for a sec. Two or 3 days is NOT going to change your life waiting for what you paid for. Bruce PAID for these extra 20 out of his own pocket to have spares to sell. You're witch hunting a good man. And I'm not saying that because I got to buy an Ithaka. An error on the part of a clerk of his almost cost him $50 on an order of mine. I caught it, and notified Bruce, who SO politely ASKED if he could charge my credit card for the error. THAT kind of treatment doesn't happen everywhere, everyday. You go ahead and deal with someone else, I don't think you'll find that kind of honor and integrity just anywhere.

PLEASE cut the guy a little slack. He is really trying hard. He KNOWS how bad you want these, and VapeBash timing just fell in a crappy timeslot. You want to lay blame? If Imeo had sent them a few days earlier, there wouldn't be an issue. Is it Imeo's fault? No. THREE DAYS, PEOPLE. I'm a fine wine collector, I see this kinda stuff all the time. All it takes is for one of your kids to get sick, and your whole perspective of life and importance changes. I don't mean to minimize your concerns, but this is a bit ridiculous to crucify a REALLY nice guy over a really unfortunate timing issue.

Well Bruce apologized and explained the mistakes he made but, Justin needs to keep off of the ECF forums and e-mails to people and all customers. He is rude , condescending , he talks down to people , what is (Quote) " I'm only going to say it once " and (Quote)
" cool your jets " . He needs to apologize to the customers ! And be nice to people that buy the products and support COV and provide his paycheck....... His response made it all worse than it had to be at all....

Just my :2c:

They wouldn't have shipped any faster if he'd left them at home and take a picture to VB. Communication could have been better, sure, but at the end of the day, would everyone be happier if the people who bought one at VB were less happy? I imagine the real answer is yes, but that's a bit sad.

When the heat goes up , it can get hot on both sides. Harsh words get thrown and when people get cornered and attacked they dont always say and do the right things. Again, Im not saying Justins words were not " water splashed into the oil in a frying pan" but again we all get "hot headed" and this situation just showed that.

I think that no matter how well thought out and if they had Notified us about what they were going to do at VapeBash that there would have been a lot of unhappy people. As we can see all it takes is "ONE" spark.

I can only speak for myself, personally I like Bruce, he's always served my orders well and in a timely fashion.

I definitely got irritated when the "Ithaka's at VB for sale" news hit ECF. A lot of things ran through my mind, most I've already posted. The simplest COV post on ECF would have been enough to assure me there wasn't something odd going on here. Why is this news? When did they get through customs? How come we didn't know? Haven't we waited a very long time, and it's going to VB first? So I posted angry words here.

COV will continue to get my business because I like Bruce. I only wish he would have posted a short note before going to VB, it would have been appropriate and more understandable.

Obviously due to all the fireworks communication was a major issue here, and people have every right to complain.

And I too will say, Bruce has always done me right in the past. Yes I too was mad and said things. I did send Bruce a PM on FB and apologized for my part in this mess. I didn't have to, but he has been a GG friend so it was right to apologize.

I too will continue to use COV as it is still an American small business.

I will say, Imeo's character, passion for vaping and ingenuity is more than just great products, I think Ithaka once in everyone's hands will bring a bit of healing to us all!

Thank you Imeo and thank you Bruce!

I think Gino had said that he will sell Ithaka via pms because of his broken site pl. As I see this didnt change. But I am making more Ithakas as we speak. This time they will last for a long time I hope. In about 2 months they will be ready so you will be able to have yours:)

The site was heavily attacked by hackers during the preorder window so he couldn't handle the pre-orders during those days in december.
He opened a list on the italian forum for those who were interested and as soon as the Ithaka arrived he gave us a "secret code" in order to buy a dummy product on the website granting the priority to those who showed interest first.
It was just perfect :)

No Imeo, the situation was handled flawlessy, nice and smooth and everybody got their Ithaka :toast:

"nice and smooth"? "everybody"? you're seriously stating that hiding Ithaka to everyone but a few "elects" is nice and smooth? =:-0

funny: what I call, instead, "nice and smooth" and "everybody" is... buying from esmokeguru (as I did) in a few minutes, without the faintest glitch and above everything else... with no need of any "secret society" membership!

happy role-gaming, italian mates :p

Two 1.5 ohm coils in parallel will give you .75 ohm effective dual coil resistance. If your using a mechanical mod with IMR 18650 batteries such as made by AW or MNKE you should be ok. I think it would be to much for your 18350 battery even if it's IMR type it will not last you too long before it drains down. At 4.2V on the battery it will use ~5.6 amps with a .75 ohm resistance on the atty.
