My Ithaka just arrived today from COV. Looks great on my GGTS. Really enjoying the vape so far and the setup was much easier than I was expecting it to be. I'm really happy with it.
So I know it took me forever to finally get this video done, but I did get it done, and I think whoever watches it will enjoy the ending!! Thank you Imeo, and next time, I promise I will not take so long!! But I did get to really experience the Ithaka to it's fullest, and I really think that any review should be done that way, and not the day they get it in the mail!! Enjoy!!
Imeo - are you able to share the size of the rubber gasket/washer on the end of the Ithaka post (that makes contact/seal with the drip cup)? I over-tightenedthe inner assembly and cut into my last one with a piece of the wire (careless on my part) but I am now without your wonderful atomizer!!! Is there a particular material from which it should be constructed? Thank you!!
Got mine today! Honestly I was a bit sad because I had a hard time getting it to work okay. First vape on a dual coil and using a mech for the first time blew me a way but soon had such horrible tastes in my mouth. After a few builds later I figured I could only get it to wick well when I open the juice control almost all the way using 2mm ekowool. No gurgling or leaking problems though. I guess I'm gonna have to experiment around and maybe try boiling the ekowool too. Beautiful device though imeo! Although I'm ashamed I can't get it to work properly yet!!
Don't feel ashamed h0kies. A lot of us are in the same boat as you. My experience so far has been up and down. I'm trying different methods and configurations. I just got some 2mm ekowool too. Same problem as you. Mine isn't wicking the way I think it should. Yeah, I guess I'm gonna boil mine too and see if that helps with the bad taste and hopefully wicking. I've had it right before, so I am enjoying the experience. Still the best device I have in my collection.
There are very few products on the planet (much less in vaping) where I can send a message to the product's creator and get a response in a few hours. This is why I'm unafraid to spend a little more on your stuff, Imeo - thank you!!! Looking forward to Just GG (and for what it's worth, I liked the Patroklas name...)!!!

I know aal but maybe its not 0,3 ohms everytime. Sometimes ohms are bigger than this because in some points wires touch each other. Also the drop voltage doesnt allow 14 amperes to go via battery even if its full charged. I think that max amperes via battery are about 11 and I think that orbtronic batteries can deliver safely this current
it would be nice if someone could test a dual coil on Ithaka where the one coil will have 2 wires on it and the other coil would have 1 wire on it

Hey Imeo I am a new GG user and recently pic'd up an Ithaka. Its beautiful and am looking forward to using it.
BTW r there any large clear tanks available to replace the lower, middle clear, and upper tank sections?

There are not larger clear tanks for Ithaka, however, I think you can install two clear tanks by using two engraved rings and one upper section, but you will need also the telescopic mouthpiece (I have to make that experiment, but I'm sure I saw pictures of an Ithaka with two clear windows and two engraved rings, maybe on the GG picrures thread).
Or you can add two extra upper sections (you will also need the telescopic mouthpiece).
Or you can take out the upper section to have a Mini Ithaka, for that you can use an Odysseus short mode mouthpiece or the Ithaka's telescopic mouthpiece (preferred, because it is easier to refill). I have one of my Ithakas on this Mini mode with an Odysseus short mode mouthpiece, I do not take out the upper section to refill because threads on clear window can get damaged with the use, I refill taking out the small upper cap.
Thanks for the info Ariel...but that more complicated than I anticipated. I wasn't looking for a "larger" tank just a clear (plastic) to replace the stock setup.

I've seen this done on Ody some time ago. Not two separate coils, but two strands of different gauge wire twisted together with a single coil. It was somewhere in this forum quite a while ago
I'd be curious how well it worked with two separate coils, though I suspect it may not be ideal since one coil will burn hotter than the other.
