I've tried many different wick materials. The original fiberglass that came with the iAtty, XC 116, silica, Ekowool, cotton yarn. Even though I still tinker with silica, I prefer cotton. Cotton wicks until the tank is empty, of all my wick materials it wicks the best. If it gunks up or burns up it continues to vape, just not as well. Its plentiful, easy to get, cheap. I can't dry burn, but I can change my wick painlessly for next to nothing. It doesn't make me cough like every thing else does. The fact that its organic, will burn if dry, but still vape like crazy if wet some how seems assuring that its less harmful if ingested microscopically. Every thing else sheds fibers and seems to be so impervious to heat, moisture, but yet its brittle and flaky. Cotton is much hardier and doesn't fall apart so easily. Jmho.

Even kiln treated Nextel flakes like crazy. Nut not as badly as non kiln treated.

Some people call the coffee that we usually drink, Turkish, some others call it Greek pl. Its a matter of choice.

So, I got a shiny new Poldiac yesterday and I was all excited about wrapping a dual sub-ohm coil. So, I proceeded to wrap two 5 wrap 32ga NR/R/NR wraps each on a single coil and crossed at the top. When I went to fire, the bottom of my Poldiac INSTANTLY GOT HOT! I swear I heard a sizzle in there and maybe even a pop. Now I am scared to even put it back on. What the hell couldv'e happened?! I don't have my Provari anymore so I can't check the ohms but these were premade wires. I didn't even finish putting the Ithaka together for what it's worth, that was just checking to see how it fired and it did that. It scared the crap out of me. Someone please help. The Ithaka did come with a tiny spare nut that is nickel it looks like and it fits where the adjustable post goes but I haven't put it on yet. I don't know what difference that would make. Maybe someone could school me. A Google search yielded no results.

Sounds like you have a short, thatton.
Make sure the negative wires (in the metal channels) are wrapped right underneath the base that holds the ceramic cup and that the positive wires are wrapped around the center post between the o-ring and the pointed torque part of the center post. Make sure the positive wires are in the channels and not touching any of the metal except where it wraps around on the center post (and the torque part of course). Also make sure your coils are not far above the top of the ceramic, making them touch the mouth piece - that will also give a short.

As for the smaller nut, that is to replace the longer nut that goes inside the ceramic that screws to the center post.

The best Turkish coffee is made with Greek blend of coffee. I love it. Though its strong, its not bitter or gives you heartburn. Its so good. I make it the "childrens" way with sugar added while making it. Others like it straight and others like to dip the sugarcubes in the coffee and eating the cube and drinking it while the sugar melts as you swallow. Ive seen some people go thru 5 or more cubes per small 2 or 3 oz cups.

In case anyone is looking for provari rings these look great with the ithaka. Intaste has them for the Kayfun but they work with the ithaka just as well. Fixes that top beveled look while I wait for my mech mod to get here.

Got my ithaka yesterday despite USPS telling me it was I Miami just need my just gg to start using it :-( beautiful atomiser though well worth the money can tell the thought that went into the design and truely makes me protanks feel like the cheap tanks they are
