As I have said before, designs are ready Tark. I just have to find the time to make the pieces. I still feel strange that I have to make something that I dont agree with, but anyway
Ok, sorry.. ;) Let's put it that way - The genesis setup for using ceramic wick.. in the future.. I really believe the ceramics will replace the mesh in some point.

my design fits ceramic and mesh too Tark. So you are right, I will make it and I will suggest ceramic inside it. I just hope that ceramic wicks well

Imeo I know ceramics are getting popular in Genesis style attys. However it looks like a 3.5mm or close to it is ideal. I know we can use 3.5mm wick in Ody and I am guessing Ithaka but it is compressable and I don't think a 3 or 3.5mm dia ceramic wick would fit. So I wonder if you were able to make the channels larger (to accomidate at least a 3mm ceramic wick) if you would have better results with the ceramics you tried in Ody. Another thing I have been curious about is if it is possible the sharp bends were limiting wicking.

1,5 ohms per wire just
So dual coil in ithaka would be ~7.5ohms using premade 1.5ohm wires. I have been playing with dual coils on the Ody and Pene the past week in preparation for the ithaka. I get better results using dual 34 awg R wire compared to dual 32 awg which always goes below 1.0 ohms. I like it better at ~1.3 ohms which is easier to achieve using 34 awg with it's higher resistance. Excited for the coming of ithaka! :)

channels of Ithaka are the same as Ody fright, so if you want to fit a ceramic wick on them you can unbraid thew wick and remove some strands.
I didnt understand your second question

I was thinking about hard ceramic wick as opposed the stringlike ceramic. As for the second question if I remember correctly you tried hard ceramic in ody but it didn't wick well enough. I am simply wondering if it is because of the bends when it went from the channel into the top of the ceramic housing caused less wicking.

Either way I am happy with my silica wick you've been sending Bruce I just like to try to figgure out how things work and why they don't so when ceramic was mentioned I was just throwing out some thoughts I had.

ceramic never worked properly and the issue was not the bended part on it. The issue was that it was not porouw enough. I tried to find a more porous ceramic but it was too brittle. Anyway, I am very happy with the use of silica because of 2 reasons:

1. Tested material
2. Inactive material that doesnt react with out liquids

If people want to try new materials taking the risk, thats something that I dont agree but I also cant do anything about it. Silica also wicks exellent. So we have to try new materials only because we need something more healthy. No other reason for searching if we have the best wicking already. But searching for a healthier material must be done from laboratories and not by users.

Thats my opinion if we want to be serious on e-cig business.

Ithaka works with 2,5mm and with 3mm wick nos. I will send Ithaka to customers with 3mm wick and if they want to test the 2,5mm wick then they just unwrap one strand of this 3mm wick. As for the flavor, my wick has a very good taste and the most imortant is that it has the CE and ROSH certificates for what we use it for. Thats the most important part for me buddy.
