In 10 years time from now, what will vaping look like?

Will there be 1000 watt mods that are tiny and people will be walking around blowing ridiculous clouds that would put all of today's most extreme cloud chasers to shame?

Will it go in the opposite direction and will there be vapes that do not produce any clouds at all?

Will it be all trendy and will there be vapes that make different colored clouds when you exhale?

Will something completely new that doesn't yet exist have taken over by then? Much like the patch existed before vaping, but now that vaping exists, who would want to bother with the patch, if vaping is better and more effective? Perhaps something new will come along eventually that will be different than vaping and replace it?

All I know is that the vapes 10 years from now won't be like the ones we have today I think.

... under the cover of night you enter a dark alley, hugging the shadows. You take your vape out of your pocket, some electronics you taped together topped with an old atty, and take a deep draw, holding the vapor in as long as possible. But you're out of luck, an FDA compliance drone flies by and spots you. You start to run, trying to escape, the drone has no problems following you. You must have taken a wrong turn, you ran into a dead end.
A tear rolls down your cheeks right before the drone liquidates you on the spot.

-the end

If it goes the way the govt wants it to, we'll have some great movies to look forward to. Like:
Boyz in the B&M.....starring Tupac
Juice'd.... Starring lil Wayne
Murder on the Oriental Express...starring Fasttech
Don't forget "Vaping Bad", think that'll be a hit.

how hard it would be to extract nic
Chemically speaking it's not too hard (most commonly steps involve organic solvents + caustic soda + some acid), but I'm not sure it's a very good idea. Getting pure nicotine powder sounds rather dangerous and would need special precautions and care.

It's exactly what good regulation would deter people from doing, offering a legal alternative that's easy to handle and far less risky.

I have been wondering how hard it would be to extract nic.
Open freezer. Remove bottle. Allow bottle to come to ambient temperature before opening. :D

Pure nicotine is a liquid. Melting point: -79°C

Using the extraction method I mentioned you'd get a crystalline powder.
Then it would be some nicotine compound, which I doubt is suitable for vaping.

Yes pure nicotine is an oily substance
I'm curious why you call it "oily"? The viscosity is quite low, even at freezer temperatures.
