So i used electrical tape to wrap around the bottom air holes of the Phoenix - then using me nail located one hole and used a safety pin to puncture the tape to allow only one hole to be open.

Got rid of tr wshistling and wicked etc fine - with high PG juice no problem
When i used high VG there wasn't enough airflow - so opened the opposie hole and again problem solved ;)

Thought of using a sealant - glad i didn't as tapes easier to 'adjust' :)
Hope it helps

I won't be using Got Vapes anymore. I ordered a Phoenix (with the black sleeve) and did exactly like the video shows. It did nothing but leak like crazy. I tried it several times, wasted tons of juice. The one I received was defected. When I asked for credit to get something else (I didn't even ask for my money back), the response I received was NO. The only way was if it didn't work at all. In other words, they were blaming me and would not accept the fact that they have something that could be defective. So, I'm stuck with this Phoenix. However, they have lost a customer. I also have 2 family members that order with them that they have lost as well...customer service is important!

To block the air holes on the Phoenix you may want to try cutting the bottom out of a standard carto condom and cut the length down to fit round the bottom of the Phoenix where the holes are located. Looks to be about 3/8" . It will take a bit off stretching to get the condom to fit but it will fit. While the condom is still on the unit take a sharpie and mark where the holes are on the condom. With the condom off the unit cut a notch with an xacto knife from the top edge of the condom down to just below your marks to allow for air to flow from the holes of your choice in the Phoenix.

I feel your frustration as far as having issues with leaking. There is a slight learning curve with these. There are a several threads here addressing your issue. I am sure you can find a solution with a little research. The flavor and vapor that the Phoenix delivers is well worth the effort. I hope this helps and I hope you find an answer.

I bought the sleeved version also. In my opinion the sleeve I had ruined the whole experience It is tooooooo tight a fit and barely allowed any airflow. Once removed I am as pleased as can be with them. Vaping back and forth with two different flavor ones as I type. Love em. The only time I get any leakage is when the juice gets very low to the bottom. Then I top it off and it's good to go.

I know Suzanne, and the one she received IS defective. She's been vaping for a long time and "knows" what she's doing when it comes to vaping. The CE3's are great IMO, as long as they work correctly - this one doesn't.

I'm disappointed guys that you didn't help her out ... as she stated, "Customer Service is VERY Important". I realize that this one little item is "not a big deal" on the grand scale of things - but it is to individual customers. There's too many vendors out there now days not to help your customers - especially when it comes to receiving a defective item .. come on guys! Are you really willing to lose customers over $10? She said she only wanted a credit, not even her money back.

Come on guys ... Really? :(

Don't be disappointed, Sandie. This issue has already been addressed by Dannoman earlier tonight. He is working it out with Suzanne. And rather nicely, too.

Seems to me that GotVapes customer support is pretty decent when there is a legitimate issue discussed in a civil manner.

Thanks for letting me know VTurtle ... I greatly appreciate it. :)

And "Thanks Guys" ... I was really hoping it would be resolved.

PS Thanks Danno! :thumb:

So back to the whistling :)
I tried taping 2 holes but then it no longer felt like a LR. Sooooo back to taking very easy drags on it or a real strong one to avoid a long whistle. With that said, I'd NEVER go back to a Boge or any other carto after the Phoenix. I'm waiting for the replacements to get back in stock and I'll be ordering more.
Yesterday afternoon at the office, I changed out my battery and somehow must have dislodged something on the Phoenix and it was gurgling like juice got in the air hole. When I got home, I cleaned it out and it was due anyway for a dry burn. After that got that all taken care of and it was back to brand new! With a couple dozen Boge XL LR cartos stuck in a drawer, I was getting panicky that my Phoenix was biting the dust and I might have to go back to the boges.
Keep up making a great product! (maybe someday you can get rid of the whistle lol)

I, like yourself, was a huge Boge 2.0 fan. That is, until I tried the Phoenix's..I currently have (no joking) 5 cases of Boge 2.0's collecting dust, along with some of the best tanks out their. (going in the classy's soon). Out of the 40 or so Phoenix's I currently have, I have only had one leak on me, which was cured some how by my 3ml syringe tube mod. Another 2, I had to trash, as I just couldnt get them to hit correct, and two I dropped and broke. (once again, the 3ml syring tube to the rescue).

These Phoenix's are the ticket, without a doubt. Also of note: Danno and Company at GV go way and beyond in terms of customer service, that much I can attest to. I am waiting for the Tanks to get back in stock, and will be ordering some more up.

No more poly filled carto's for me, I'm done......
