That's actually not a pre-ordered, preferential-treatment-on-this-run-special-buddy REO for Gil. That's a had-the-wood-forever-should-have-had-it-done-in-the-last-run-but-just-now-got-around-to-doing-it REO for Gil.....patient boy that he is.

Plus I asked Rob when he told me he would make it this run that I'd keep it on the down low and not ever post a pic of it but he said don't worry. If it makes any difference.....my cost is waaaaaaay more for all my stabilized REOs than anyone elses once you factor in what I pay for the blocks of wood from another source.

I know Darrel Its a little different from the first time when the only stabilized REO made on a run was the Nebula which is the reason I never posted about it here.

Well Im not sure. Back when I had that block made it was a fix/replacement for my major screw up on the Nebula's finish. Its supposed to be the same colored dye but this isn't science so I won't know till its in my hands.

Gil when I get a chance I'm sending Rob a chunk of my favorite wood to see if he can work with it. It's tough stuff but I've made many things with it and just love it.

I get it. The first block I sent to Rob was the first time he had ever made a REO with stabilized wood and he (as always) knocked it out of the park but did say its harder to work with than natural wood. Seeing what Rob can do with all kinds of different woods I bet he could make a REO out of balsa wood.

Thats the stuff. I've used it a lot in marine construction but also made lots of children's toys etc from it great stuff

Here's a question - when the sale commences - is there a picture of the front AND the back to see the wood grain pattern?

The last couple of runs Robert would post a pic of the front and a pic of the back. He only did that on the thread and not on site. If you look at the Timeline Thread you will see pics of front and back from other runs.

If you memorized both sides you could then pick it out on sale night. It was a little tough with similar looking doors or multiple REO's with the same wood combination.

I loved the pics of both sides!

Don't know if this is true or not, but I kinda like the idea. They are all quite beautiful. "Roll the Dice and give me some wood"!

I will only post a frontal view of the mods on the site . The only time I did both was with the stabilized mods . I have over 300 mods taking shots of the front and back would take forever . I will post pics of the front and the back here on ecf
