AVE... I think Boba's, Irish Cream and Honey FLue are the most interesting ones... I love AV - one of my top 3.

FSUSA... Pretty much flavourart... if you like flavourart, they do a great job... I think their RY4 is interesting and the only juice I would probably reorder... not much of a flavourart fan, but they are nice folks and do a great job. People love them.

Vapor Renu... I must say, I really like them... It's not grade A juice... but for the price and the effort they put into it - A+... A lot of folks complain of no throat hit with them... but I never had this problem...
Their RY4 is quite interesting.
I would advise against the vitamin C additive because I think it gives it a weird aftertaste that only seems to work well with fruit flavors.

++1 to what lasttango said

.2 I would try a Turkish blend tobacco base in your Boba's recipe and see what happens :)

I came close to taste of boba once .

Capella Hazelnut
desert ship
Capella Coconut
VERY SMALL amount of double chocolate
EM ( gives a malted milk ball taste when added with the above)

I dont want to sound like a let down but i dont think the op has that right for bobas imo of course . I dont think banana at all .I think Bounty Hunter is a lot more loved than Bobas . Im not a big fan of gorilla juice but i dont really like banana . My favorite though above bounty hunter or bobas bounty is msts Sugar cookie . Im sure it would be super popular just like bounty hunter if more people tried it . I just cant say enough about it . Not really a tobacco but it does have special quality that would make it appealing to Bobas fans imo . Its the one juice i can go through 30ml of in 4 days .

What is the EM you listed below Double Chocolate? Also, do you have ratios for that recipe?

I wonder where the raisin taste comes from in my Boba's. A lot of reviews on their site say that it tastes like Raisin Bran and I get the raisin taste when vaping Boba's. None the less.... that made me order some raisin flavoring from TPA. hmmmm....

Yup, I get a touch of raisin flavor too. I also get a hint of....bread *shrug* and I cannot imagine where that comes from.

EM is ethyl maltol, usually a 10% solution in PG. You can buy the crystals and make your own, or buy it pre mixed. Its described as somewhere on the spectrum between a sweetener and something that gives body and richness without too much sweet, depending on who you ask. It has a distinct 'cotton candy' taste and smell that is unmistakeable and figures prominently in a lot of vendor juices if you sniff carefully :)

I too am interested in the proportions for that recipe ST8V8Ping!

Why the name Boba? I always assumed because it had some desert ship in it...

Because he thinks Boba Fett is awesome.

That was my best guess anyway, and I'd agree.

Thanks for sharing BestLion. Will most definitely be giving this a go!

It won't taste exactly the same, but I do believe you when you say you got it very close.

Kind of like how people emulate mcdonalds or KFC...not going to harm Ben's business. (I do care about that because I think he's a fantastic dude)

Funny how Dekang has this mysterious vibe of it being 'bad'...somehow worse than anything made in america. I understand why people might think this, contamination problems and corruption in china has made some pretty big news headlines. I think they're doing pretty good though, considering how cheap they make things and how they're growing, and how much they output. Always going to be teething problems...but I think the whole china = dodgy product isn't really as bad as many think...

Not going to turn this into a china vs. US thing though! I always support Australian made, or Australian manufactured things when I can, or where I see it as feasible.

Disclaimer - there's no evidence of dekang being linked to AVE in anyway, shape or form :) I think we all know this and none of us are suggesting otherwise. (not directed to anyone here, just covering my .... as I've had to deal with angry e-juice fanboys in the past and wouldn't want that again)

I can see what the OP is saying. Not everyone's taste buds are the same and what he tasted in the AVE juice is what he tried to re-create.Though it may taste the same to him it may not taste the same to someone else.Ive tried to re-create vendor juice on the simple fact of what I taste.Even though the vendors juice may not even contain one of the flavors I added to my recreation. As long as what I'm making taste the same to me,that's all that matters to me.

The recipes by the author of the thread for Boba's, and GJ didn't taste like the originals to me, I tried them and they just didn't do it for me. Sorry guy, not trying to knock you. I'm all for trying to DIY these juices, they are a couple of my favs, and like so many have said everyone's taste is different. I'm only a couple months into this world of vaping and I'm loving mixing up my own juices. Boba's is supposedly a simple recipe but the taste is so complex and different to so many people. Like so many others I get a bran taste in it, almost graham crackery. Crackery....there's a new word for ya. I get a slight touch of cocoa, and a little maple. The one thing I can definately put my finger on is the spice hit of the Turkish blend tobacco. There is also a cream like taste in there it seems. I've tried many combos trying to match it, but it always falls a bit short. I'll keep trying, but until then I'll have to settle with the big bottles of the real thing. Ben seems like a good fella and I don't mind giving my dollars for a great product from good people.
