Got my hands on some 400 ss mesh. Built my first coil directly on the pad of my rsst, and it vaped terribly. Wrapped a 6/5 micro on my 5/64 drill bit(came out to .5 ohms, fed the wick into it and assembled. Pulsed and filled. HOLY VAPOR BATMAN! this thing is hitting like a freaking freight train. I'm never going back to anything less! :VAPOR:

Awesome, congratulations, never was very satisfied with mesh, tried 300 and 400 in my RSST. I just wrap a 3mm coil and stuff cotton into it, assisted dripping style and it works great, takes about 2 minutes to change flavors. Might want to give it a try. I just found mesh to be finicky. Just my two cents. Good luck and have fun!

That's what I was doing at first, and was very happy with it until I sprang for the mesh. I love it! No problems... YET...

Yeah I love mesh too. 400 mesh is all Ive used, and it took me probably 5 or 6 wicks to get the hang of the whole setup.. But now.. forget it, it works better than I thought it would.

The whole needing to tilt the device upwards to get the juice to wick, for me, is completely uneccesary, even on the thickest of juices. When chain vaping a 100% VG, most I need to do is vape it horizontally once or twice. At least on my setup. Every atty is different, plus everybody rolls their own type mesh. For me, on my device, with how I roll, theres almost no aggresive tiliting required.

Ive tried silica in the genesis too, and its not bad either. But Silica and Mesh provide different vapes, and I like both for different juices, so I generally have both types of wick setup on different things. As far as wicking goes, I actually prefer mesh, I have to tilt and help it along with silica. So for Gennies I use Mesh, and Drippers, Silica.

Mesh and I were not getting along well. It worked, but never had stellar performance on the RSST. Opened the air hole a bit and it made things better but still lacking. I pulled the wick and Fed a piece of silica through the center, leaving a 1/2" tail.

A+ and no more tilting wick down. Even vapes decent with the fill plug in.:)

But now I've discovered the Ithaka -
