It has been awhile since anyone has posted here. It reminds me that it has been a very long time since I have monkeyed with my settings on the Series B. It's been so long that I have plum forgot how to do it. So if something goes wonky I'll have to break out the instructions. Stainless TC @ 430 degrees. Been that way since shortly after I got the thing.

Heh heh. I’m like that too. On those rare occasions that I want to do something other than adjust and lock the temperature, I need to consult either the manual or my notes.

YUP. Knowledge of menu systems doesn't come easily to me. It really annoyed me when I was trying to set a clock on one of my mods, my husband stopped the video took the darn Cylon out of my hands, muttering, "C'mon Anna, it's just a menu system," and promptly set my clock by looking at it and hitting buttons.

His (and the kid's) savant-like skills in these areas annoy me. LOL, I suppose I should be grateful and most of the time I AM, but I do sometimes look bemusedly at the electronics around me and wonder how many (if any) I will be able to continue keeping operational when he dies. Also, I think he's given our (from the 90s or earlier) dishwasher some sort of blue tooth enablement. Heh.

The JAC book is right beside, I never know when I might just go wild and want to change a setting.

Well dang it. Both magnets have pulled out of the body of the new Jac. Now I gotta try and get them glued in and hope they hold.
Also the battery gets jammed inside the cover. Don't know why that is. Wasn't that way to begin with.

I had both come out of my SS version, about 2 weeks apart. Easy enough to glue them back in. After that, I noticed a slight side-to-side wiggle in the top of the battery cover. I fixed it with a couple pieces of paper tape, but now when I take the cover off the battery comes too. I figure I used too much tape but I kind of like it that way so I'm leaving it.

Flat top vs button? Or are you using the same battery? I only charge externally, and rotate my batteries, but haven’t had a problem with the three types I have. I’ll say YET just in case (don’t want to jinx myself)

I don't think it's happened to 100% of users, although it seems the fix is pretty easy. It may or may not happen, but the magnets can just be placed back in, and/or placed in with a bit of glue for a more permanent fix. Etc. Just don't lose them and you won't because it happens when removing the door, so just check the magnets quickly when you do it.

I had an IPV mod with magnets that did the same thing. I just glued the magnets back in.

There is a problem, but I don't know if it's a problem for the majority.

I figure it's inevitable, and am still babying mine via the USB charger. I do swap occasionally too, but figure I may as well wear the USB out first.

Y’all are making me nervous about the magnets... is it common to have them pop out?

My bottom magnet popped out the day after the mod arrived. Some cautiously-used superglue sorted things out. Fortunately, I had the same problem with my eVic VTwo minis, so I'd already identified several mistakes to avoid making this time:

  • Used too much glue so the magnet didn't sit flush, giving the battery cover a permanent wobble
  • Despite much caution, managed to flip the battery. Since it's not coming out again, that was the end of that mod. D'oh.
My current strategy for avoiding such problems is to leave the magnet stuck to the corresponding magnet, put a tiny tiny bit of glue in the magnet slot and put the door back in place. Then hold it for a couple seconds and then pull it off in case any glue has seeped out around the magnet and is now trying to glue the battery door to the mod.

Gladly, all went well with the JAC.

I did the same thing to my Evic VTC Mini. I refuse to get rid of it. Instead I bought a rubbery sleeve for it. That way it holds together and works fine in between battery changes.

The 22mm dna has arrived. The “new” finish looks pretty tough. It’s slightly tactile, but not rubbery. I can scrape it with my fingernail and it doesn’t leave a mark. Looks like an improvement. Great stealth mod, this sucker is slim!!!
Great to hear. I haven't visited the JAC site in a while. Is the new 22mm still black in color, or the same color as the 25mm Sandstone?

Black. I’d love for them to do it in sandstorm! I’ve heard rumors of a dual battery Jac. Has anyone else? I’d love to see them do one, so I’m hopeful
I've not heard any rumors.

I'm glad they changed the paint finish to be more durable. I bought the original black rubberized version and it rather quickly shown that it wasn't very durable to normal wear and tear. I ended up putting a protective sleeve wrap on it.

A sandstorm 22mm would be a great option, I agree. I'm not a huge fan of dual battery mods, I like the compactness of the series B 75W. However, to round out their lineup to include the extra power/battery life a dual battery version would have seems like a good business plan for JAC.
