Anyone need a wristband?
I had a hard time figuring temp control out and I still don’t know much but I had settled into a comfortable vape with a SXK Prime, 3mm 6 wrap 26g SS316 coil at about 24w and 380-390* F. Over 400 was way too hot for me. After Jac croaked on me I tried to use temp control on my Pico and it’s definitely not the same quality, so I’ve switched back to VW until I get my Jac back.I downloaded Escribe. My preheat temp was set to 75W for 1 second. I fired it up and blew my third coil. The Escribe monitor showed the temp going off the chart with some red lines. Don't know Escribe yet so it didn't mean much to me. Could hitting my coil with 75W cause it to break? Would the chip cut off the power during the preheat stage if it got too hot?
I set up a profile with temp of 8W and preheat temp of 15. Have to wait until tomorrow to try it because it's late. Have to make another coil tomorrow.
That preheat could certainly be causing your problem. Just turn it off. In that 316 profile, type in 25 watts in the power box. That should get the temp up quickly without over shooting the temp. IMO when the power is set too high, you can feel the TC kick in, which is not what should be happening.I downloaded Escribe. My preheat temp was set to 75W for 1 second. Jac has left me for his expensive overseas hospital visit.
It is just telling you that it has reached temperature. I turn it off under the Theme tab in escribe. It only turns off the message and not the protection.I have a Jac question. Now I'm doing TC, after each puff the screen switches to display Temperature Protected 3 times. Does this mean temp limiting kicked in, or is it just telling me that TC is on?

I don't use TC myself. It's my understanding (could be completely wrong) that Evolv (manufacturer of the DNA chips) was the original creator of TC. Everyone else offering TC chips are basically just copycats using reverse technology. This is my først DNA mod.
Do all DNA mods handle the TC equal ? This one is VERY different (restrictive) from my others.
Don't mind me - I'll just watch.
What's up with you two?Mind if I join you?
