What's the average delivery time from Jac Vapour to a U.S. address? My order date was Oct 31 and it's now Nov 26 with no word about the order reaching the U.S. Jac shows it complete.

ETA: I just chatted with Heather at JV and she's going to research my order. Her data shows there's been no update since 1 Nov.

They are all over the map. Sometimes it's a matter of days, sometimes weeks. With an order date of 10/31 with no sign of life I would inquire (as you did).

I believe JAC could benefit from better (and more consistent) ordering/shipping procedures. It has never been a simple process to order from JAC. Everything seems to be a mystery. I have no doubt it can be done MUCH better. It's odd too because they seem to have a pretty solid operation otherwise.

If anyone talks to them tell them I know a web person who can clean up their mess (not me).

I chatted with one of their online reps today. They were apologetic and promised to find out where the package was and get it moving. We'll see. USPS has no knowledge of the package at the present.

THAT'S messed up. If JACs tracking number isn't registering, I'd kind of expect them to ship a new one out.

I say that like I own the place, don't I?

Any time anything squirrely happens with JAC they always make you whole again no matter the fault. That's been their history.

I do agree with THAT, and am confident they'll make good on it.

Or I'll fire them. ;) :D

Still no official response from the JAC ticket I opened. I did get an initial response from a chat rep who responded to my initial query and promised to research the package and get back to me with info on where it's at right now. USPS has no knowledge or at least I haven't gotten a heads up that USPS has my order in hand.

Stupid question, Dave (but I excel at them), but did JAC provide you with the tracking number? If it's not registered with USPS by now, that'd be almost unheard of.

They haven't sent me a USPS tracking number. I thought that occurred when it was handed off to USPS after the trip across the ocean. All I have is an order confirmation email with shipment number Your Shipment # for Order #100445248 .

The number that's issued from there can usually be tracked all the way to your door. I think most begin with an alpha ("L" maybe?), but USPS does pick them up. See if you can get it from them, then plug it into the USPS tracking to see what comes up. It's worth the shot.

They should also have a tracking number. The rep should be able to provide that to you (they've been able to in the past). If they say that they can't, that'd be a red flag to me.

As I was leaving to run some errands I got a call from Cleo at Jac Vapour in reference to my problem ticket. she assured me that she was shipping me another DNA75 and told me that my order was returned by American Customs for Lithium cells in the shipment. Cleo is shipping another DNA75 without a battery to make sure that it passes customs this time and changing the price to remove the battery from the invoice. I'm assuming my CC will get an adjustment through PayPal for the difference.

I agree. It's understandable that they'd want to make sure the recipient bought a battery that was up to the task for liability reasons, but they have to know that there's a high likelihood that a package with an 18650 would probably get opened and inspected, especially after the recent antics that occurred around Washington, DC lately.

You'd think that Customs would have sent me an email informing me that they seized the package. Maybe Jac Vapour didn't know until it showed back up in England on a slow boat. It probably sat in a warehouse somewhere for a while before it was turned over to a shipper for return to England.

On every purchase or warranty repair, I've had to request a tracking number from JAC. Last I was told was their system did not automatically send tracking numbers.

Yeah - same here, JUMA. But they always did provide it when asked.

Hey - for the price I guess I shouldn't complain. To say I'm getting my money's worth from their mods would be a gross understatement. They're taking QUITE the beating from me. :thumbs:
