Hey folks - I've come to the end of the road with my Jac. I got a good year out of it so I'm not complaining.

It got so it always read 0.4 ohms over on any tank I put on it. I popped the top plate to take a look. I had resisted doing that because it meant cutting the top off the wrap but I got fed up. Discovered that the insulator around the positive pin in the 510 was pinched at one side so it wasn't pushed all the way through on the underside of the 510.

I pushed the pin out the top and got the insulator reseated, but there was discoloration on it so it might be heat damaged. Put it back together and now it says either no atomizer or shorted.

I guess it would be possible to get a replacement insulator from Jac. But that would mean unsoldering and resoldering the pin. And doing that in a tight space really close to the insulator. The insulator might not even be the problem. Either the pos or neg solder joints could be bad. Or there could be a problem with the insulation on the wires. Or whatever.

I figure someone with more energy or better soldering skills than me might be able to fix it. Or even just harvest the dna board, or the switch, screen etc.

So if anyone is interested let me know and I'll drop it in the mail.

Looks like your JAC is past the 6 month warranty date. They still might help out with getting it working again. I haven't had mine apart, but It's worth a call or an email to Jac Vapour to see if they can offer assistance with a part. Soldering the new 510 socket in place isn't really a big deal and would be worth the time for that mod. If you have a friend who's handy with a soldering iron the new 510 socket could be replaced in less than 30 minutes. It's only one solder connection.

OK, I give up. Messed with my DNA75 settings a little and now I can't get back to where I was. I use temp control. My display had ohms, watts, and material displayed down the left side and the big readout on the right was my temperature. Now the big readout is watts and I'll be damned if I can figure out how to get it back to temp. Anyone know? Damn software!

In the profile in eScribe there's a checkbox that says "Temperature-Dominant".
Check it!

Do you still have your user's manual? I occassionally find that I have inadvertantly reset or locked my settings on a setting that I do not want. I always have to refer back to my user's manual.
Yes, but truthfully I find that manual to be largely worthless. I'm going into escribe and it allows you to change the left hand side of that display screen but not the big readout on the right side.

No go. I uploaded to the device but it did not change. I think that temp dominate has to do with how the up down toggle works.

Go into the screen settings and that's where I can change the left hand side but no option to change the right hand side.

Have you tried changing your profile#? I have the DNA 75 board and I can add or change the profile. Or go to the forums and download the original theme again. It's like a reset.

Sent from my ONEPLUS 6T
I just go to the Profile 1 page, make my changes, then upload it to the device.

That should work. I unchecked the box to have watts displayed instead of temperature. Strange that it doesn't upload correctly. For a long while I had temp there too, but I change watts more than temp, so I switched.

OK guys, I have no idea what in the hell I did but I'm back to where I was with the temp on the big right hand readout. And yes, the Temp Dominant box is checked. So bask you could be right.

When I connect to my mod I stay in Profile 1 and make changes then upload to the mod. It works when I change the stuff for the left side of the screen but it would not change the readout when i'd check the temp dom box. This time I went to Profile 6. They were the same settings I had previously with the temp dom box checked. Uploaded it and that worked. Beats the hell out of me!!

What I'd like to know is how I got it reading the temp by just changing settings in the JAC.
