This is very simple compared to some of the creative stuff here. But I was getting tired of waiting for my new colored batteries and atomizers, and the plain white and black was boring. I decided to make a patchwork effect using washi tape.
These are the kinds of things you can do with washi tape:

Lovely translucent layers, and the semi-gloss texture is very appealing, it's nice to touch, like a fine leather. Also, the tape blends in to itself making the seams almost invisible. I never liked the seam that comes with most battery skins. This feels more integrated in to the design to me rather than plastered on.

I have about 5 types of tape on the first and just one on the second. And if/when I get sick of it it will come right off!
I also made my own case to hold them both out of a scrap of white leather:

Hardly a hi tech mod, but I still wanted to share! Also, I did learn one thing: don't make the tape too thick at the top of the battery or it won't go in the charger! Opps!
PS: if this is too flowery there are more manly ways of putting down the tape. A simple checker board looks amazing in washi, for example.
