You will have to throw me a link for the straw mod you are talking about. Sounds cool to me.

Score is:

PG=1
VG=2

The straw mod probably wont work for refilling blus. I haven't tried it, and I'm having too much fun with my new 510 :D but there's just not that much room in the interior cart.

You do have an exposed atomizer, and I have found that dipping works VERY well. You can find lots of posts about how to dip on the forum :)

Apart from my first "Welcome Kit" order, all of my experiences with JC have been based upon VG formulas. I am going to titrate some purge VG to see if I can thicken mine up before returning everything I've bought from them.

I got my latest JC order yesterday (6 days total btw so not bad) which included some PG formulas as well as VG. I can't tell a difference in the thickness of the PG vs VG. Both seem too thick for my 201s but fine in my 112/801s. I even tried the straw mod for the 201 carts which helped a bit initially but were soon back to drawing too hard.

I am resigned to the method that gjrhine says - use the best liquids for the particular type of ecig.

Well, I placed an order for Tennesse Cured as my older Chinese Marlboro was running low based on reviews of the product on 6/5. I did NOT realize until the next day how slow they were so I placed an order for Camel Extra High on 6/6 for e smokeytreats. E somkey had my order shipped the same day and will be delivered TODAY (6/8). That's 2 business days to get from San Jose to Virginia. My order from JC is still "processing". *sigh* I had to go to analogs for Sunday and today due to my lazy .... waiting to long to order juice. Sorry, so far JC has not impressed me.

OK, I ordered JC Arctic Mint the same time I ordered my first e-cig, 2 months ago. Didn't much care for it, as it seemed to be very weak. So I started making my own mixes.

Well, a couple of weeks ago, I began reading up that people really liked the Tennessee Cured and the Peach Cobbler, so I thought I'd give them another chance. I ordered the Starter Kit, since I figured it had a few accessories that would come in handy, and would give me a good amount of each flavor to figure out which ones I liked or disliked without having WAY too much of one I may not like still left over after my sampling. I'm going to do a proper review on the sampler itself, but I have one lingering question that, if answered, may explain why I'm not liking their stuff still.

I've now sampled the Wild Cherry, Vanilla Ice Cream, and the Peach Cobbler flavors included in the Starter Kit, but I've opened each bottle to perform the initial 'smell test'. Each bottle I've opened smells primarily like a wet cigarette, with the undertones of what may be the intended flavor. The only exception to this has been the Hawaiian Kona Coffee, as this smelled like a cup of coffee that had been used to snuff out cigarettes. I've not had this experience with any of the other pre-made juices I've ordered from other sources. Spearmint 'smells' like spearmint from the bottle. Grape, Cherry, Litchi, Peach, all smell like their intended flavor when put to the 'smell test'.

So, I tried the first three I mentioned, expecting a puff to taste like what was written on the bottle. Sure enough, Wild Cherry tasted like tobacco laced with cherry flavoring. Same with the Vanilla and Peach, it was more like smoking a cigarette infused with those flavors. These were not pure peach or vanilla vaping experiences, but a hybrid mix of a distinct tobacco flavor and whatever nuance they've put into the specified flavor.

So, the question is, is it the intended flavor of Johnson Creek's products to be 'flavored tobacco'? Or is this residual tobacco flavor part of their extraction and manufacturing process? If it is, then it goes a long way towards explaining why I don't find them appealing.

Ivisi

P.S. Keep in mind I haven't tried the flavors that are 'supposed' to be tobacco flavor, i.e. Tennessee Cured, but I do know I didn't smoke a peach-flavored Camel before and I don't want to now, either. :D

What the hell is wrong with Johnson Creek? Could their shipping be slower? Could their "customer service" be more unresponsive? I made an order for some of their products over a week ago and my status page still says "processing." I thought they were claiming that all orders would ship within 48 hours. As far as I can tell, that's a flat out lie. Since I placed my order with them I've ordered products from two other vendors and received them. Both of these vendors are physically much further away from me than Johnson Creek and both were exceptionally communicative and helpful. All Johnson Creek has done is take my money and ignore my email.

I haven't even gotten anything from them yet and I'm already prepared to recommend that no one orders their products. Shame on Johnson Creek. Their customer service and fulfillment is pathetic.

Well, I ordered my Tenn Cured from JC on June 3rd. It is still showing that it is in Processing......ugh.

I have since ordered from two other companies to see if they will perform any better. Hopefully something will get here by the end of the week.

Hang in there, I ordered on 6-3. This morning their web site had my order listed as 'Processing', but the package was waiting for me when I got home today, so it probably shipped on Monday.

Since I was spending 100 bucks anyway, I went ahead and dropped the extra money for second day delivery. It didn't turn out quite as I'd hoped, but there's a rich smell of tobac filling my happy nostrils now:)

What the hell is wrong with Johnson Creek?

Did ya get the stock "we make all our juice to order" reply... ??

Anyway, ditto here too, last order took about 2 weeks. Ordered this time with about a weeks supply left in hopes I won't have to use the analog backups. I do have to say though, of the half dozen "brands" I've tried I really like JC.

I usually get Tenn. Cured and Arctic Mint then Mix the 2 about 60/40 respectively.

I've never had to email them, so I can't comment on their apparent unresponsivness... but, I have ordered directly from them 3 (maybe 4?) times and order status always says "still processing" all the way up until the day the package shows up!

re: the 24/48 policy... Agreed 100%... announcing a policy before being ready/able to adhere to it is baaaad bidniz.

Surf Monkey, hope you get your package... TODAY! :)

JC needs to get on the ball with this. The rest of the e-cig industry as a whole (at least US suppliers shipping to US buyers) is very fast! All I have to do is THINK HARD about ordering from esmokeytreats, widowsbeadwork, or thesmokesafe, and the package is there in 2-3 days!... maybe we're so used to this, a week to 10 days seems slow in comparison?

Every other retailer gets their stuff out practically over night and the product is on the doorstep of the buyer within a few days... except for Johnson Creek. It's been over a week now since I placed my order. I've emailed a polite question about the status of my order twice, with NO reply from JC. The mail came today and no package was in it.

Personally, I'd rather work with companies that take the time to reply to emails and who ship in a timely fashion. JC does not fit that criteria.

Surf Monkey, just a thought but... after seeing NateDogg's post above, and other's as well saying they got a response...

Could your "spamblocker" or firewall/anti-malware software be blocking the JC emails?

Good suggestion, but I checked my spam box and there's nothing from them in there.

Judging by the fact that they've emailed other people back in a timely fashion, it's possible that the opposite is happening and they're not getting my emails. I guess I'll hold off on slamming them until I get the product and see how long the final turn time was.
