I don't like the inflections she uses in speech. It's irritating.

Also, shouldn't this be a symbol of the return of the "dark ages" for antz, Sexy "smoking" advertising everywhere?
Have you seen all the sex stuff on TV ??
The Blu commercial is "MILD" in comparison
:p

By the way ... Argue all ya like ...
However, the future is e-smoking is cool and sexy and will see it in ads.
Maybe not as sexy as this one ... but cool and sexy never the less !!

Don't like it ... Call the BT companies as well as the others
and tell them so. Not going to do any good ... However, it'll make ya feel better.

And ... Of course, the more attractive and cool e-smoking is promoted
the more we are going to hear from the "Easily Offended" about Save The Childreeeeeen !! CRAP

The kids are watching TV and Surfing porn and experimenting with stuff of much
more concern than Vapor!! ... But of course, it would be Politically Incorrect in AmeriKa today
to point that out.

By the way ... We keep saying ... and its true ... non smokers can't get addicted to nicotine by puffing on an e-cig.
AND You can bet your bottom dollar ... BT WILL BE Targeting Non-Smokers
IT'S NOT A BAD THING !!

That she is and SteveMGU is spot on but I worry a bit about using McCarthy to represent a product that people are already skeptical about. Having someone who crusaded against childhood vaccinations and insisted they cause autism is hardly credible representation.

You took the words right out of my mouth, and there is also Courtney, wild child, ex herion addict, and habitual substance abuser (probably), controversial characters appeal to a niche, and repulse a majority, we need the 'hearts and minds' of the non smoking, non vaping ordinary joe on the street to grant us their blessings (or you might just as well add them to the massive movement out to kill 'smoking-or anything else that looks like it)
Personaly-I think this is part of a deliberate ploy-crazy, I know-but the world aint like that already-is it ?

Exactly .. and those that bash what they perceive as a credibility issue due to a past stance on anything don't seem to understand the society we live in .. very few, if any, of the target audience for this ad know or even care about her autism stance .. and at least she took a public stance on something .. right or wrong ..

BLU spent some money on this ad .. the production values alone are very well done .. whether you like a BLU PV is really not the thing here ..

So, so many threads that deal with PV acceptance or lack thereof here on ECF yet when we have a solid, well thought out, well done commercial that actually promotes our cause, some want to pick at it ..

We should be embracing this and hoping for more ..

BLU will save vaping for everyone, whether one likes their products or not. They are the only ones out there with nationwide AD campaigns educating the public and helping to make vaping socially acceptable.
If they come out with a better product than their current offerings, I'd try it for discreet vaping.

Blu is owned by Lorrillard. Lorrillard is actively spreading lobbying money around Congress right now to get rid of all bottled juice. So hey, if you want your choices limited to tamper proof cartomizers that suck, go ahead and keep supporting Blu.

Since Johnson Creek is financially bedded to BLU / Lorrillard and has gone on record as to their take on the FDA possibilities and it's possible business impact, as well as being a seller of bottled liquids, I'd hold off judging what "limited choices" may or may not be in the future ..

FAQs Johnson Creek Smoke Juice

Is the possible FDA involvement in e-smoking going to affect your business?

A: No. We do not anticipate any real issues with the FDA as they begin to develop rules and regulations for the industry. In fact, we feel that we already adhere to many if not all regulations they're likely to impose, such as; child safety caps, & plastic shrink banded caps. We are also the first company to voluntarily list our ingredients on our bottles and print warnings for children and pets. We're also quite proud of the ultra sanitary conditions and use of personal protective equipment in a HEPA-filtered environment in which we bottle our Smoke Juice. Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice is made from scratch in America, with the highest grade ingredients available. While we do not know what the FDA will choose to do with regard to regulating the e-smoking industry, we're ready for and welcome their involvement.

^^^ We'll see .. I don't own a crystal ball that consistently works well, however, I am a glass half full kind of guy and prefer to remain optimistic .. the availability of the hardware will not be hindered, anymore so than the availability of "other" substance delivery devices .. the ability to obtain DIY ingredients will not be hindered, although the nic may end up more costly ..

Pre-made liquid .. ?? Who knows .. ?? But there is a better than 50/50 chance it will not be hindered either .. as I like to say, the PV Genie is out of the bottle and it's going to be almost impossible to put her back in .. :)

I touched on this in another thread

No one can predict the future-that is impossible

Critical analysis and forward projections and forecasts using 'historical data'

Is one of the oldest business tools in the book, the principals can be deployed in all sorts areas (not just business)

There are indeed splits here on who might be 'on target' and who might have their head up their a**

criticising others for having an opinion is bad form-unless you have sound reason to support your own take on the subject.

I have already stated my 'disclosure'

For real? Can you provide some sources? If so, screw Blu.

True ... !!

I no longer loose any sleep worrying about "What IF ... "

No one is losing any sleep that the PV is out the bottle and will be impossible to put back in-that is a given

The worry is that nic liquid of very low strength, big corporations sweeping the little guys into the gutter, and flooding the market (with government approval and un affordable licenses and criteria) only to monopolise with their 'whisp-o-cigs'-will end viability for most, and return the herd (or the majority back to the much more lucrative combustible tobacco products),

Have a look at the Vuse review video, expensive, throw away, lasts 20 minutes with modest use, and tastes of....nicotine
Then ask yourself how one of the cleverest commercial giants got it so wrong? -by design ?.......
The $10 throw-away vaping device is here-
