Noob here,

Been vaping a week on an 801. Mostly pre-filled carts; then topping off with juice or wash/refilling- no dripping. All that was from my initial order from RMV with no issues. Ordered juice from JC and tried it last night. Been fighting problems ever since. I think I've gotten most of it sorted now. Here's my experience, IMHO, FWIW, YMMV, etc... (And Vets, let me know if and where I went wrong- if I didn't figure it out already)

I washed out a cart; pulled the filler, rinsed in warm water till white, then dried to slightly damp in a paper towel. Re-inserted into the cart and filled with JC Tenn Cured (PG). Slap it in; lock and load, and 'fire' that mother up. First hit or two goes alright, but those are pretty much the 'starter hits' that get ignored. I go to take a full on 'evaluation hit' and get.... well I know there was vapor at the start (mouth hitter), and I taste a nice flavour.... but um... where's the throat hit? Where's the exhale? (I used to smoke what were formerly known as "ultra-lights", so frankly seeing what I exhale tells me as much about my hit as what I feel). Overall, a total failure(although a tasty one). Fought the rest of the night trying to diagnose the issue. Browsed the boards as best I could(had an early morning due to a client visit near Milwaukee today).
Thin liquid. Formulation changes. No issues here- what's your problem?, etc.

Between dealing with this and the other garbage I've had going on the past week, I even stooped to having an analogue, just so I could have 10 minutes of SOMETHING working right w/o fighting me. Good news from that is apparently I've been vaping enough now that I can notice just how much those things STINK!!!. UGH!!!!!

Short story longer, I give up on the JC, and swap to a fresh pre-filled cart. But get the same results. Initial vapour on the drag, but no real hit, and no exhale. Swap atty's and all's well again.

Analysis: I probably over-filled the cart a bit even for 'normal' juice(still dialing that skill in), and for JC I way overfilled it; flooded and fouled the atty.

Results: I've been trying to blow out the fouled atty every which way, and it's still not right yet. I actually found this thread researching cleaning methods. In blowing it out, I've been getting a surprising amount of juice out of it. Little suckers have more going on in them than I initially thought. Think it's dry- leave it for a while and blow it out again- there'll be more.

Good news: I had a second atty, so I didn't have to resort to the stinky sticks. Even better, I picked up some USP glycerin, which after some careful testing I don't seem to have issue with, and have been mixing with JC juice to thicken it up.

Results: I'm a fog machine in flavour-town. Working beautifully, wonderful flavor, smooth but noticeable hit, volumes of exhale.

Bad news: 1)Still haven't gotten the other atty cleaned out enough to work properly(time, patience, and maybe a technique or two I'm not fully aware of yet). 2)Now I'm sure anything I want to vape needs glycerin.

The jokes are already starting about my desk looking like an apothecary shop.

For the people who think JC juice killed their attys, were you using the old or new 'improved' formula? I just finished a 30mL, 24mg bottle of Arctic Mint, the older formula. I never had a problem with attys dying on me in 501 or my RN4081. Well, my RN4081 attys and batteries died a few times but, I'm sure that was due to Smoking Everywhere's faulty products. That particular juice did, however, bog down my attys a lot. I wasn't getting very good vapor from the Arctic Mint, the stuff did give a good throat hit though.

Compared to the TotallyWicked Menthol juice I'm using right now, the Arctic Mint was pretty thick. I was trying to figure out why my PVs weren't vaping well, when I started to use TotallyWicked's juice and they began to perform much better. That's just my experience with the older formula JC Arctic Mint.

Camel Turkish Golds were my one and only brand for the last 10 years. I just found some 'Turkish Blend' juice on RockyMountainVapor and ordered a bottle. I'm really looking forward to trying that out.

Back in the days when they were "affordable" (combination of price and income), I smoked Camel Wide Lights like there was no tomorrow.

Just saw the update from Dave at RMV that he has 10ml bottles of Blackberry flavour; plus I got my 306 figured out; so I just put in yet another order and decided to throw in a a big-azz bottle of Turkish. So we'll both be finding out soon.

Although, as a big fan of the movie "Snatch", "Turkish flavour" seems a little off-putting...

I was reading about VG and just had to try it. Bought a "no name" DSE103 from some smoke store. It got me and my wife hooked on vaping to the point that I got tired of sharing and bought my wife a Joye 510. So anyways, needless to say the Joye 510 put my "no name" e-cig to shame, to the point of frustration. Added some VG to our JC eliquid and OMG, it made a HUGE difference in the amount of vapor my once crappy e-cig put off.

I got the big-old sampler pack from JC (mostly for the tin and extra accessories, and the samples, naturally) but I cut them 50/50 before even using them at all. I had no issues whatsoever. Switching to other, thicker liquids however, I went right to cutting in half and found them to be way too thick.. they won't wick on my 510 at all. I've tried a few cart mods to help out, seems the JC is a very different animal than the other 4 sources I've tried so far, there isn't a universal cutting method that's gonna work it seems. And btw, the Arctic menthol is so good I'm seriously thinking of getting an order of just that. And I used to HATE menthol cigs. *shrug*

I got Johnson Creek's Red Oak sample pack and the 'Swiss Dark' killed a good atty. It's a very dark juice, almost black, and all it took was 2 drops. I wasn't about to try it on another atty. Trying the sample juices turned out to be more expensive than I thought. I was afraid to try the other juices but did, and didn't really like them.
