Hey all. Just received my sampler pack from Johnson Creek. First off, I was really excited to get this juice. The shipment arrived fairly quick. Now I will give the presentation a 10/10. Each liquid come in a small glass bottle and droppers are included too. Here is my problem. Everything taste the same. This wouldnt be so bad bad if it tasted good. Im getting this burnt chocolate taste with a hint of wood and vanilla. Has anyone else had expirence with Johnson Creek? Did I get a bad batch or is Johnson Creek just not for me. Maybe the juice need to ripen for a few days.

Yeah, but mine was good.
I sampled Wisconsin frost, Valencia orange and Tenn cured... all very different...
Tastes good. Liked Tenn the best -

I assume you've switched atties etc...

If you truly think it's the juice and not you, I'd write them...
they seem like a quality group...
In fact, I think they enclose a little note with their order that says "if you have a problem etc..."

I've ordered from Johnson Creek several times since I started vaping in February. So far, I've tried Domestic, Original Smoke Juice, Tennessee Cured, Summer Peach, Valencia, and Mercado. None of the flavors taste the same.

I don't care for the Domestic any longer, and never liked the Valencia and Mercado. But I love the Original Smoke Juice, Tenn. Cured, and Summer Peach. Each has its own distinct flavor.

I ordered a few times from johnson creek and was very happy. I think they have high quality juices. Did I like all the flavors... no. I particular didn't care for most of the flavors from the red oak line they offer. So if you think the juice has gone bad, definitely email them and express your concerns. I honestly think they are one of the best quality juices I have tried.

I find that the non-Red Oak J.C. juices have a similar flavor. For instance I think the Summer Peach, Apple Cider, and Tennessee Cured each have the same background flavor. However, trying the describe that flavor is a difficult task for me. Cigar-y and medicinal are the best I can come up with. I find that the Alien Vision's Havana Gold juice has a very similar taste to the aforementioned juices.

Yeah!! It seems that they have a base flavor and then they build their other flavors around that. Im assuming "jc original" is the base. So if you don't like that you are pretty much screwed.

JC is hit and miss for me.. Some of their flavors are really good (Wisconsin Frost, JC Original, Tenn. cured) Some are horrible (tropical? *shudder) but all do seem to share a singular base flavor. If you blindfolded me, and had me vape liquids i'd never tried before, I bet I could pick the JC ones out of a linup.

Im sure they do that on purpose to distinguish their brand, and like I said, for me at least, its hit and miss.

The Wis. Frost is probably my fav of their linup tho

I'm soooo glad I saw this post! I too ordered from JC, mainly because I heard they produced the flavors for blu cigs. I loved the blu vanilla! I got my JC French Vanilla and it tastes like burnt marshmellows, maybe with a hint of scorched caramel! I'm starting to think I'm crazy, because I've had terrible luck with juice. I've ordered a few of the top recommended juices on this forum and hated all of it, but the Halo menthols. I know taste is subjective, but geez!!!

I too fell victim. The Red Oak sampler killed my first two 510 attys. Its just yuk. They should do a better job of letting people know there base flavor is the "main" flavor. I mean when I see "summer peach",the flavor should be "summer peach" Not..."something else"...and if your lucky a "hint of summer peach". Just my opinion, and some people LOVE JC.

I apologize if that seemed harsh. Just saying there should be a better description, especially with the prices.

I dug the Wisconsin Frost too. It really is quite nice. I like the Marcado too (it tastes like gingerbread to me), but it's extremely strong, so I can only vape it from time to time. I also completely agree with your take on the Island (tropical) juice - that stuff is just wrong. But, if you like the thought of vaping suntan oil, then this stuff is perfect for you.

Summer Peach was a weird one for me. I shook the bejeezus out of the bottle trying to mix it, but the flavor still was very inconsistent. Every once in a great while I'd get a great peach flavor. The rest of the time it might as well just been Tennesee Cured. Don't get me wrong, I really do like the T.C., but I bought what I thought was a peach flavor.

It's funny how everyone's tastes are so different. I like the Tenn. Cured a lot, but I also like the Summer Peach. To me, it tastes like a base of Tenn. Cured, but with overtones of peach! I like it a lot!

I bought the Artic Menthol of Johnson Creek's thinking it was the same stuff as my Blu Cigs Magnificent Menthol because they said it was made my Johnson's Creek but boy was I wrong! It tasted nothing like Menthol but instead tasted and smelled like wood and nutty. Did anyone else have this problem? Or was it just the wrong batch they put in my bottle?

The JC sampler was my first batch of juice, on Tuesday. I am new to this, but after receiving blue cola and ry4 from cignot (I am assuming these are DeKang flavors?) I now know that I really don't like JC. Their base flavor is too much, and to my taste doesn't really work with most of their flavors. I like their Cherry, but I can't see it being an all day flavor. I like the Peach, but it's inconsistent as was mentioned above.

Not sure why everyone is having issues here. I've tried every one of JCs liquids, and only "burnt taste" flavor i've found is the swiss dark, maybe a miss for me on that one.. But I believe JC is centered around that "woodsy" flavor. Some might not like it, but I sure do. Dekang and other liquids are just too simple IMO, and quite thin. JC vape is a bit thicker than other liquids. BUT, their flavors are by design more mellow, not overbearing, but still flavorful to be an all day vape. Ive tried a few companies where a french vanilla was WAY overdone. JC is mellow, dense, and woodsy. Flavor is definitely subjective though, as I'll admit, I didnt like them when I first tried em. Once the analog tar was worked out of my mouth, I got the true flavors comming through, and got hooked on em. But Im sure you'll notice that your taste will change as it did on analogs over time. I've convinced the nic level plays a major role in that. All in all, best all around in my experience. so far. If theirs a better manufacturer or recommendation, feel free to drop url. :)

I would like to see some separate bottles of flavor drops though. The flavor level seems to drop with nic level, but could be a fluke, or on purpose. I'm going on a year of vaping now, and the " give me the nicotine" has been replaced with "give me the flavor"...I've tried inhaler, dekang, cloud 9, JC. Each are different, with their own specialty..just boils down to personal preference just like analog brands. Finding the right liquid is like finding the right analog- one carton at a time. Stick with 3ml samplers until you KNOW you like, and DON'T get 10 carts going all with different flavors, expecting to taste test one vape at a time...it won't give any flavor justice...( I learned that the hard way)
