I just emailed Stormy....I'm still working on by Cartos from CCV....I won't start using the batch from Stormy's for another month. I gave her a heads up.....When I get to them and they turn out bad, that would be a problem. I'll see how she responds......She's always been great to deal with so I'm really not concerned.

ok, here's a question you all can probably answer for me. why do the lava's use one hole punch instead of two?

I use 2 most of the time, if my juice is a little thinner than I'll use just 1. Most of my juice is 50/50.

what is the advantage to two holes? i guess i better figure out this punching thing. i already learned to use the phid needle (since it's 18gauge) and slide it carefully into the middle before i attempt to perform the surgery

I'm sure she will make them right, if you don't mess them all up and mix them all up. She's a really nice person, she didn't do this intentionally, I'm fairly positive about that.

2 holes all the time.....My track record with tanks is 100%.....I've never had a dry hit....bad carto....cracked tank....I don't change my methods because they have never failed.

Some people use 2 holes on opposite sides. I use 2 holes, one just above the other on the same side. So when you turn it upside down to get the bubble over the hole you can line it up over both holes. So, juice won't be forced out of the carto.

Tiff, I punched a box last weekend using the saddle valve punch. It makes a good hole but you have to make sure your carto is bolted in tightly before you try to punch.

Yes, but not totally upside down, just line up the air bubble over the holes and try to keep the air bubble over them while pushing the top cap back on.

Put the cap on to the Oring. Flip it over and try to line the bubble up over the hole in the carto. Then push it on all the way. You'll still want to blow through the mouthpiece onto a paper towel before you screw it on to your device. No matter how well you line up the bubble, some liquid is going to be pushed into the carto and you'll want to blow that out before you start sucking on the mouthpiece.

I've never tried it that way. My husband fixed me a board that I could slide the carto in, that helped me keep it still enough to use the dremel on it. I could never keep it still enough to use a nail.
