I never had any luck with DC's. They always leaked like a sieve for me, but your mileage may vary.

I had a dual coil carto tank before and had no luck with the DC cartos tho. They leaked a lot and never did wick well in the tank, but that was just my experience...I've heard others like them.

i am a little worried if they get too hot and potentially crack the tank...

Nix on the Provari right now, will have to wait till I'm flush but I'd be worried about where the steel meets the top cap getting real hot and warping the plastic? But then again the juice would act as a coolant, especially with some menthol drops in the mix....this is where a stone tank would probably be better. But what do I know.

Very interesting points, Joan.

Joanr,
I have a lava tank on my provari. Works great and I have never had the top cap get so hot as to melt anything. To be fair, I do have several pv's going all the time so I switch off frequently. And therefore, none of mine ever get super hot. I just think it would take a whole lot of hot to melt jonboys tanks.
Come to think of it, tho, I did have a boxmod that turned on in my pocket and it had a jonboy tank on it. Had to soak the tank to get the burnt smell out of it but nothing melted.....the box or the tank.
hope this helps.
:)

Yes but we are talking about using the tanks with dual coil shorty cartos that get very hot, is that what you are using?

Edit: this darn editor is driving me crazy, took off and posted before I was finished. Anyhow Sugar, I'm not worried about the PV creating heat, it's just the carto inside the tank. Thanks!

I use 306 LR 1.6+- cartos in one of my LavaTanks on my ST mini and have no issues. As long as your volts aren't set too high, I wouldn't foresee any issues.

I haven't used the shorties but have used the xl duals in other tanks I have....they worked fine. Never had an over heating problem.
