Doesn't look like any of my vapemail will be getting here till after Turkey Day. CC juice, 2 tanks, and a T-tip...guess I'll just have to have a little patience...

Hubby just said sea urchin is "not too bad".

Lies. I had straight sea urchin sushi once (just sea urchin with the nori wrap) in Seattle. The waitress cautioned us against it, even encouraged us to get a full roll with rice and veggies. We wanted to try it straight up. Bad plan. Tastes like what I imagine low tide to taste like.

So what is the strangest thing you have eaten.
I have had escargot. I liked it

Love escargot. But I'm French by heritage, so it's kind of self-explanatory.

Aside from escargot, sea urchin, and fried gator (probably not so strange to you Southerners, but a rarity for us up here in the mountains... Absolutely amazing, too.. So yum!)... I would say beef tongue.

Sad in a way, because I can't eat most of these anymore and haven't been able to for going on two years.

I'm sure some of you mountain folk know what rocky mountain oysters are... They're really not that bad tho.

We actually have a restaurant at one of the ski resorts here called "The Rocky Mountain Oyster" ... I laugh at tourists who think the name is just something made up and creative. And then I feel kind of bad when they ask for some.

sheep brain, balut, congealed duck blood, snake, rats and yes, dog meat.

Snake is not too shabby. None of the others, though. Wowzers. Although I have had haggis in years gone by.... Surprisingly good. Something I've actually missed in my days of veganism.

qui est francais ici??

Me. :)

Hubby's response is "Like I said, not too bad". Have I mentioned that we live across the Puget Sound from Seattle?
