If anyone with a provari is around I have a question. Is it safe to fill a lava tank while it is on a provari or do you remove the tank?

Its safe. But better to practice with it off while you perfect your fills. I always blow a little juice out after I fill anyway

Fill the carto first. When your tank comes it will be assembled. I just pull the top cap off and fill the carto with a syringe, and then fill the tank about 1 inch from the top. Put the cap back on part way, tilt it so the bubble is over the hole in the carto and then push it on the rest of the way. There's a video at the vacation place. Ha ha JJ beat me!

Thanks guys. This will be my first tank so I will take baby steps. What is the best way to fill the tank?

Just pull the top off, fill, then reapply the top to the gasket and flip the tank so the air bubble is over the hole in the carto and push the top the rest of the way on. There's a boot camp video that is worth watching that shows the process better.

EDIT: Yup, I'm slow... ;)
