Hey everybody. Hope you and yours are well. I was woken up by my little sister about 5pm telling me that my step-dad is in the hospital. She said that he has a bilateral pulmonary embolism and is going to be there for at least a couple of weeks. She also mentioned that the same thing was his mother's cause of death. I'd appreciate any good thoughts sent his way.

I'm sending good wishes your way. I hope your step-dad's condition improves soon.

When I started college 26 years ago to get a degree in teaching, I didn't think I would use or need to know anything about computers. Now if the computers are down and I can't use my Promethean board I wonder how I am going to teach the same lesson.

I know the feeling. I teach in a community where the power seems to go down every time it rains, lol. I've been doing this long enough that I always have always have alternate methods of presenting the lesson. It's just aggravating when you've put so much time into developing a lesson, then have to resort to alternate means.

Well just got back from the vet. Our little kitty is sick and it turns out that he had a urinary blockage and if I hadn't taken him today he might have died. They're keeping him for 2 days with a cath. He may need surgery but I hope not. I'm sure the little guy will be alright. Keep him in your prayers.

Awww... i used to have a kitty... passed on due to pneumonia. =/..

His name is Lucky so at least he has that going for him. Waiting to hear back on his blood work for leukemia and FIV. Fingers crossed!
UPDATE: Just talked to the vet and blood work showed negative for leukemia and FIV!!! Yay!!!!!!!
