Yeah, so were ours till they decided to reopen the contract. I miss being in the USWA. This IUPAT union has nothing to do with Dispatchers, but the FOP "only" allows sworn officers apparently, and there really arent any dispatcher specific ones available, so we're stuck with them. Or I should say stuck with having pretty weak Reps that always give in to the city's demands
Our dispatchers decided to leave the IAFF & go with the Teamsters. Big mistake. Now they have to get in line behind the folks the Teamsters actually represent.
We are in the IBEW. Yup International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. And thats for the whole police department and yup they are not worth a dime. The last contact we got was all take and got nothing.
