Morning lava people. Frustrated with ECF this morning. I started a thread about supply and demand in the ecig market and of course I had to bring up the issue of lavatanks (as well as other things) being resold for twice the amount and how unethical it was and how immoral it is. It's sad to see from the almost 3 pages of posts that people just don't get what I'm saying. They keep saying things like it's just business. Or is making a profit bad? And I keep saying that is making profit from someone you would sit down with at a meet up just because you have the opportunity to do so moral? It's so frustrating that fewer and fewer people get the community aspect of these forums. Sad day.

I feel your pain CASE. I spent some time reading that thread. I agree that in the last few months, the sense of community and helping one another is not quite the way it used to be. It has become more of "look what I got" kind of thing. And while we all love our toys, the sense of this community is changing and not in a good way. It's one reason I stick with my friends and don't post much any where else. I see the same thing happening on twitter and VapeTV too.

When I posted my classified ad to make money for my seizure meds in May, I got more pms about selling someone one of my Lavas than I did the things I had posted in my ad. If I wanted to sell any tanks, they would have been in my ad. Yes, I know I could sell them at a huge profit and be set. I could do the same with my Empire mod. But I choose not to. And I find the vulture like behavior that I have been seeing sad and disappointing. But as vaping becomes more popular, I guess it is to be expected. I never in my life met as wonderful people and a community as a whole as I had since I started vaping almost 2 years ago. But as with everything else, the feel of this community is changing and not for the better. It makes me want to hug my vapey family tighter and keep them close...because I know they won't change.

It really is sad. The community vibe is changing. Everyone out for themselves. Thinking less of others and the I'm not doing anything that doesn't directly benefit me attitude is just depressing. Charmed your right. The real world is slowly invading our vaping community making it more like the world I came here to escape. Glad there are still people out there like you and I (and the rest of the corps) but i'm finding it less and less these days.

Much better. Been on antibiotics for a few days now so I think that is helping the pain...not helping the mood swings....you can ask Ogre about that one...

I agree with all of these people that think that selling an item for even a penny more then the maker or vendor sells the item for is WRONG!! It is not just business!! If you are looking to make $ from vapers, then open a store or website, and sell vaping items. These forums and community events are to help other vapers, NOT to ripe each other off!!! Come one everyone, lets work together, and HELP out one another!!!!! As for the Jonboy sale, I really really really want to get one this sale, and hope that happens. I do have one, but that one ended up going to my wife as most of my other vaping stuff does. But if I get another one, IT WILL BE ALL MINE, mahwahahahahah!!!!
