Here is my very first lavatank (A7) so far I am thrilled to no end. This thing is soooo beautiful! Amazing craftsmanship! View attachment 124201

Oh wow I really like those "Demascus" tanks. Was my first pick wish I would've scored one of those. I did end up scoring a tank though so all's well that ends well

Hello everyone. Hope you all are well. I have a question I hope someone can help me with. My SS Lava Tank is so freakin' tight, I can barely get the top off let alone the bottom. It is almost impossible to put back on and no amount of eliquid helps. Does anyone else have this problem? And, does anyone suggest different orings?
Thanks so much.

All the sudden everyone is talking about the tops being hard to get on and off.
I have one that I NEVER had a problem with. Now I do and I have found out it is the cartos are a tad bit bigger in size. I tried the carto with other tops and it is the same thing.
It may just very well be the cartos and not the tops.
The carto in question is from some new batch I just got. All the ones from this box of 5 are a tight fit in the top
All the other cartos work fine.

More than likely the tightness people are experiencing is the variation in the poly tubing. I could be wrong....but I think that's what it is.

Mine is the carto.
I know that to be true as I did do some looking.
It maybe I'm the only one that has experienced this as I have never had any problems with this one before now.
I did try food grade lube like you suggested Dino.
It did not help.
I sanded the carto down and that helped alot.
So far it's just this box.

Low... does sound like you have a carto issue. My problem with my wood lava is getting both the bottom or top cap out of the tube when it's time to clean/change. Once I get them out (unfortunately by breaking 2 Bedazzle tubes to date) I don't have any issue getting a new carto loaded and getting them back into the tube. I have some food grade lube that should show up tomorrow...my fingers are crossed it works. It's going to get kind of expensive if I keep breaking my Bedazzle tubes:facepalm:

You need to use the thick wall fauceted Bedazzle tubes with the SS Lavatanks. I learned that the hard way and have not had any issues since switching.

As for the carto's, I've ran into the same issue with some of them being a little larger in diameter but only had trouble getting the top cap on the first time. After that, they seem to be tight but manageable.

I too use the facet.ed with the Ss lavatanks with no problem.

I am not having a carto problem. I cannot get the top and bottom caps off at all, let alone back on. I quess I will have to spend $10 to try the silicone grease:

Krose....I should get my lubricant I ordered today ...having the same issue with one of my wood tanks. I'll report back and let you know if it helps....
