Oh, I'm so ready for the LavaGens! I got in my glass tubes today for them!! YeeHaaaaaaa!!!

Since I've started using all glass tubes I just couldn't go back to poly. I put the bug in a few ears that I needed glass for my soon to have LavaGens! Thankfully, we will have that option!! So happy about this!!
I couldn't find a post that said she would have plain LavaGen tubes for this sale, you might want to shoot her a p.m. I got 3 on her pre-order and those came in today, very nice I might add! Can you tell, I need backups for my backups?

She had a pre-sale on plain tubes last week so I'm not sure yet if she'll have any plain this time. She will probably be posting tonight about the sale and what will be available.
I was thinking about polishing my ss tank to a mirror finish but i am not really sure how to go about doing this. If any one could give me some advice on this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
What you really need to do this is a high speed buffer of sorts.
But you can take some Mothers Aluminum polish and with lots of elbow grease you can get it pretty shiny.
I have a buffing wheel on a grinder motor and it works well. Oh you really need a good polish stone to use with it too.
You could just use Mothers with the wheel too, I've done that, and it will work well too.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have never done anything like this before so please forgive my noob questions. Could I use a buffer for a dremel?
Yea but again it will be slow to get the shine I would want.
Be careful and don't burn up your Dremel.
I could get it to a mirror shine in about 15 minutes but that is not helping you................LOL
