I got my Grasshopper today, and it's stunningly beautiful! Jon, these are truly works of art. I can't wait to get more! I have one quick question - mine had a rather strong chemical odor, so I would assume I need to clean it before use. How do I go about doing that?

Bit off topic but prices of cigs amazes me, i was smoking benson and hedges 25's at $19 a pack most of that cost is taxes. 2 weeks ago i was holidaying in bali and ciggies there were $1.20 for a pack and $11 for a carton. U.S prices seem to be cheaper also.... not as cheap as bali but cheaper than oz.

That's just the smell of the plastic after being machined. You can just take it apart and wash them in the kitchen sink under hot water. The smell will subside after a while, they're actually pretty stinky to machine LOL!!!

I can't speak from experience with these tanks, but for most materials, a long soak in white vinegar followed by a quick wash with dish soap will remove odors. I use it to remove the scent from juice bottles to recycle them. I would imagine it should work as well on the parts from your tanks.
