Did you pre-fill the carto? I pre-fill a Boge / IKV carto with a single 3/32" punch. Wicks perfectly.

I'll second that. You've go to pre-fill these. The liquid naturally likes to wick down, not up. You'll get filler taste then if the top of the cartos dry. These are Boge 3.0 ohm I bought from C.C.V. The money I make from these pretty much goes right back into the vaping community. I could buy cartos wholesale, but I choose to pay retail to help out the vendors like C.C.V. and Ikenvape.

Keep me posted everyone. Looking for lots of feedback, as I want these to be the best tanks out there.

Those are Boge's. I have great luck with these cartos. I don't understand where the dry hit is coming from.

I don't know??? I've never had any of these problems....I wish I could tell you what was wrong. I'd say grab a Boge and start over.

Maybe when you filled the carto it didn't get to the bottom. Just because it came out the battery connection doesn't mean it was full. You could have just gotten some juice in the airhole. Put the condom on the carto and fill it again. When you think it's full, grab it from the top and flick it....with the condon on the bottom....See if any juice is still going into the carto. Keep doing that until the top stays wet.....Or do the Taryn Spin method....there's plenty of videos on Youtube for the spin. Once your positivly sure the cartos full, then fill the tank and try again. I can't stress the importance of the full carto. The only other thing I can think of is that when you got the dry hit you might have charred the filler. I use the same method and I've never....ever had a burnt taste. Try it again and let's hear how it goes.

Here's a good video on how I fill my cartos....the only thing I do differently is I put the condom on the carto tight from the battery end. I fill from the top and spin. I do this repeatedly until no more juice will go into the carto. Then I blow out the excess and it will be full. Sometimes I spin them 3 or 4 times before they are full.

Ok. Thanks for trying. I have 15 of those cartos coming tomorrow.....the ones that you recommended, strp.....from crystalclear. I will try one of those with a predominantly pg juice.

Ok, going to refill with condom fill method and taryn spin. I've seen this video from Leaford before. I used Bloog cartos for a few months in the beginning of my vaping career. I will be back.

I know what works for me with all my juices....thick and thin. 2- 3/32" holes and a full carto. Perfection for me. That's not to say other peoples methods aren't good. But I'm a firm believer in if it's not broke....don't fix it.

Absolutely. I tried all kinds of stuff. 2 holes, 4 holes, etc. I vape some thick stuff & 1 hole and a condom filled carto work like a charm for me. A lot of the fun of this whole thing is the experimentation.

Just to give you an idea how much juice it takes to fill a Boge Carto, I get a total of 36-38 drops in it. I put the longer condom with plug on the connection end (which also covers up the holes I made), drip 10 drops ans spin,10 more and spin and so on.

IF your tanks is as mine is, you can fill the tank through the top, you DO NOT have to pre fill the cart and heres why.... put the top on after filling the tank, then hold the tank tightly, Firmly hold the top cap and genltly twist the cap as if you were trying to take it off...slowly. As you do this, it will syphon the the juice into the drilled hole on the carto. Gentlely, push the top cap down all the way (to be safe, you can suck through the mouth peice so you take away the air pressure so the liquid does not get pushed out of the carto connector). Then repeat the process a few times, checking each time you syphon that you havent over fill the carto. Sounds long and drawn out, but its quick and easy! and it ensures you wet the carto throughly from the bottom up...can't do this with any of the other tanks I own... Jon, you really are on to something here! Bravo!

Yeah, I prefilled with like 30 drops......to the point where a bit of liquid was dripoing out of the battery connector end of the carto.

Here I am chiming I haven't gotten my new tank yet The one you sent me I'm still using I'll test them out when I get my pkg from Jon Didn't see a reason to change carto's when this one is doing fine Did you send a 3.0 or 2.0 with the black tank?

You know you have a vaping problem when you get a Mercury Lava Tank and don't know what juice to put in it or what mod to put it on. Hmmm...I think reality has set in that I need to quit buying vaping stuff.

strprswpr...still loving the Reo Mini. It hasn't left my hand all day and I'm on my third bottle..LOL. Bought a leather holster from Griff for it. Has an eagle stamped on the front. He's shipping it out in the morning...I can't wait. I was trying to figure out a way to make the Mercury work on it. Damn, the capacity would be awesome but I don't know how well it would feed since the carto is slotted.

Well, I filles the carto to the best of my ability. Put it all together, filled her up and got about 10tokes before flavor started to diminish and carto flavor returned. I think its one of two things.
1) This particular carto has so much filler that its not taking the juice to the bottom of the filler when I prefill.
2) This juice is so thick that it wont enter my punched holes and keep the carto full.

I have to pack it in now, but I thank you guys for hanging in there with me and offering your knowledge. You're great people.

Tomorrow, I try a new carto with a pg based juice.
