Absolutely! It takes less than a minute to do and makes filling a breeze. I add a fill port to ALL my tanks.
That's my tank! That looks awesome!! Totally AWESOME!

I have been wanting to do that to my maps..which I transformed to use cartos..which screw do you use?
It's looks really nice. What did you fcover the fill hole with? What size drill bit did you use-thanks
I don't want to hijack this thread but I'll explain how to add the fill port to ANY tank. Use a 3/16" drill and drill a hole just below the top cap. A slow speed drill works better but any will do. Now take a 4-40 x 1/8" Machine Screw like this one Stainless Steel Machine Screw, Black Oxide Finish, Pan Head, Phillips Drive, #4-40, 1/8" Length (Pack of 10) | SmallParts.com and slowly screw it into the hole. It will self-tap the hole. Unscrew it and clean up any stray pieces of poly. Screw it back in. Done! This was originally done by Gummy Bear. I took a chance on an old tube and it worked so well I was amazed. I know people are thinking "Won't it strip the poly with repeated use". well I haven't had one strip on me yet. It just screws in and out without a hitch. There is zero leakage as well. Once you do one you'll be kicking yourself for not trying this sooner.
I use a blunt tip syringe to fill the tank but any needle tip bottle will work just fine.

Ladies and Gentleman, tonight is the night....At about 8:30 CST you will all get a chance to buy a
JonboyUSMC Lava Tank
So here's how it goes.
1- You will see a list of pictures with the new Lava Tanks and color names with numbers assigned to them.
2- Decide....QUICKLY....which ONE you want to buy. Pick 2 alternates just in case your first choice is sold out.
3- PM Jon with your choice....specify whether you want the tank frosted or clear. Also specify if you want a 2.0 or 3.0 Boge included. DO NOT PM JON BEFORE THE TANKS ARE POSTED
4- Specify if you want a loose or tight fit on the tank....tell Jon so he can send you the appropriate O rings. For the woman I recommend a loose fitting tank.
5- Wait for Jon to PM you back. There is no need to send more than one PM....It won't get you an answer any faster.
6- Cross your fingers, pray....whatever you think might help you get the tank.
If you have any questions....ask them now. Don't wait beause they will go fast.
A couple of rules....
1- One Tank per household....we are trying to give everyone a chance to own at least one.
2- If there is any stock leftover after 24 hours you can try for another....NOT BEFORE....Personally I don't think they will last an hour. Please....let's not try to take advantage of Jon's good nature and ask for more than one.
There will always be more sales.
Anyone who was on "The Unfortunate List" can not buy tanks until 24 hrs after this batch goes up for sale.

What is the best carto for the XL tank, who has them for the best deal and punched holes or slits? Also how much ml does it hold? Thxs
