I have a blue sparkplug2 that I never had any problems with it hitting as long as I put it together in a certain order . I even bought the thermo tube and two new end caps for that. I never used the thermo and haven't touched the sp2 in months. I just have too many other toys I use. The SP2 and the thermo tube, the batteries and the charger will be going in the classifieds soon, along with the vapemate I had to have and used exactly one time I have impulse shopping issues, but I am working on it

The hole for the carto is 3/8" diameter & 1 3/8" long. The punch hole is 1/4" diameter & approx. 9/16" from the end. This should give you a hole around 1/8" above the bottom cap.
