Drilled and installed new carto today. Got the hole a bit low. Bottom cap just barely touching the bottom of the hole. So far so good.
Made the little protector piece out of the old carto. Man was it burnt. Thanks for all the how to tips. Greatly appreciated.

The height if the hole should be fine. I have a few like that and they work good. What size hole did you drill?

Why so low on the hole ? I like mine up a good 1/4" from the bottom so its soaking right where the coil or coils are.

Dont like the liquid to get below the hole I guess. The emptier the tank = less refilling. Less fluid in the tank when refilling= less mess and wasted fluid.
Thats all I got.

I see a lot of talk on re-filling and losing juice. Here's how I do it. Leave the tank on the PV. Pop the top off and fill up. Now put the top cap on just up to the o-ring. Here's the trick. Find the carto hole, and tip the PV on it's side until you have the air bubble hovering directly over the carto hole. Now while holding the tube, push the top cap on all the way. The air will be displaced through the carto hole and not the juice, or very minimal juice. I do this ALL the time and never lose any liquid and very rarely have to blow through the carto.

Just to let everyone know, the lathe is in pieces now, so I won't be able to make any replacement tubes until I get it back together. Hopefully by then the new material will be here and I'll be turning them out a bit quicker. The new spindle motor showed up today and she's a behemoth!!! I can already see my torque problems are history. Kind of like when I dropped the stroked big block in the Mustang no lack of torque there either. :p

The holes we had for the liquinator were a bit to low for the JB tank sp the hubby had to move the holes up a bit higher for the new JB tank. I think he went to high though. I am below the hole now and there is still a bunch of juice in there.

The two holes at different heights is an interesting idea. Kill two birds with one stone (or two holes) vape until the tank is almost empty & for most of that time have the juice coming in close to coils!

How high up with the second hole would I need to go to be closer to coils on a fusion (I know they are not popular here, but I like my fusions)

I will have to try that. The hubby filled my tank for me the first time. He simply put the tank on my Buzz, filled and shoved the top cap in. When he handed it to me... the juice was leaking every where including into my PV... so that wasn't a good method!

Bah, spring for $17 and grab a "My K-cup" at Walmart and brew whatever you like! I don't buy pods... It's AWESOME!

I used strprswpr's video method. I have topped it off a couple of times using that method. Slide the top cap on to the first O-ring, tilt the tank top down and finish sliding it on. Haven't had a leak yet. FWIW I use 70VG/30PG from Vapor Bomb.

Yeah, I have to check out either strp's or chief's video's (I need to see things to understand them)... because the way the hubby did it made a huge mess, a ton of juice leaked out and went every where.

Dido, I use 100% VG and fill the same way, not a drop and dont have to even wipe off when finished !

Yes, very similar to strprswpr's method. Works great.
