I need suggestions, I just picked up a Keurig platinum off of ebay for $80. What's your favorite coffe to run through one of these things. I usually drink Starbucks Sumatra, I like my coffee to give me a kick in the .... in the mornings.

Cafe Du Monde, Louisiana French Roast... If you like a nice thick cup of strong, flavorful coffee in the morning, this is the only coffee you'll ever need.

I see a lot of talk on re-filling and losing juice. Here's how I do it. Leave the tank on the PV. Pop the top off and fill up. Now put the top cap on just up to the o-ring. Here's the trick. Find the carto hole, and tip the PV on it's side until you have the air bubble hovering directly over the carto hole. Now while holding the tube, push the top cap on all the way. The air will be displaced through the carto hole and not the juice, or very minimal juice. I do this ALL the time and never lose any liquid and very rarely have to blow through the carto.

Just to let everyone know, the lathe is in pieces now, so I won't be able to make any replacement tubes until I get it back together. Hopefully by then the new material will be here and I'll be turning them out a bit quicker. The new spindle motor showed up today and she's a behemoth!!! I can already see my torque problems are history. Kind of like when I dropped the stroked big block in the Mustang no lack of torque there either. :p

I hope your Lathe maintenance goes well. I sure can't wait to get my new Grasshopper top piece...I sure miss it! I know it will be worth the wait tho!!:)

I've tried dozens of K-cups, and this is the only one I've found strong enough for me:
Green Mountain Dark Magic

+1 for the Sumatra and Black Silk. It was never strong enough for the hubby, who is used to Starbucks Espresso Roast. He had to use 2 KCups per regular coffee cup. He finally went back to the regular coffee maker and I use the Keurig now.

It's also a daily reminder of past trips to the Big Sleazy and to start planning the next one. Ahhh, Jackson Square at dawn....

My favorite coffee is MacNilla Kona (vanilla, macadamia nut flavored) and it is deliciously rich and decadent with a nice kick. I get it from here.....MacNilla Flavored 100% Kona Coffee from Kona Mountain Coffee. Every three or four months, I typically get 2 pounds and a bag of their kona coffee chocolate covered macadamia nuts to get free shipping. :)

OMG- what a tank. It's not only pretty, it also performs flawlessly. I've been using it since I got it and not one leak or drip. I keep checking and nothing. Very impressive. Every other tank I have always has some sort of issue.

I  my lava tank. Thank you so much. I look forward to being lucky enough to get another one at the next sale.

Quick question please:

I don't know if this has been asked before but will IKV's Fusion cartos work with the Lava tank?

Fusions work great in the Lava tank. I've had one going since I got it without a hitch, no leaks still tastes great 4 tank fills so far and counting.

Large Hot Turbo with cream and sugar from Dunkin Donuts every morning. :)

I don't even use my machine.

What the hell....Should we rename this thread "The Provari Coffee Club". I'm away from the computer for a few hours and Jon turns this thread into a coffee tasting forum?
Unbelievable:p

Afraid ya going to have to buy a Provari or be kicked out strprswpr?
