Grammie, my thoughts are with you. I know none of this is any fun. My son was 6 when my grandmother died. Me and my mom were in florida visiting to visit her and didn't expect the vacation we got. When my husband and kids flew out to be with us afterwards, he just didn't get the fact that we were in her house and she wasn't there! He was very stubborn about the fact that she had to be hiding somewhere because my mom and I wouldn't have come all that way for a vacation if she wasn't there.

Kids can really say the darnest things. I won't post what my 3yr old (will be 4 this coming Sunday) granddaughter had to say when she was told. It would bring a grown man down.

I think the kids like my new Lava Tank just as much as I do! They also like that I don't smoke anymore (after 40+ yrs smoking).

they work but you have to leave extra carto out the bottom cap so that the top cap meets flush with the top of the carto. Then punch your holes higher on the carto in the spot near the bottom cap corresponding to where it would be with the extra out the bottom. All this or get a larger tube. Be careful with them because they wick faster. Trial and error or search back in this thread for the discussions of it. Some have been fine with the standard 3/32" holes but I had better luck with slightly smaller punches. Depends on juice too

Thanks for the quick reply! So only the standard size carto will flush with the original tube that come with jonboy tank? Wonder if I can purchase spare tube the original size that come with it?

If u go to the maintenance thread, strprswpr posted a link for spare tubing to cut yourself or buy an xl tube from jonboy for $5. Yes the carto must be fit into the top cap, then where the bottom cap meets the regular tube will show how much carto should be protruding out the bottom. This will give u an idea where to punch the holes.
