catherine, before you fully press the top cap on...screw the lava onto your device to block the airholes in the bottom of the carto. Put the top cap partially on up to the o-rings, Then flip it all upside down (like the tutorial in the maintenance thread) and push the cap all the way on. This will help a little. Take the lava back off of your device. I sometimes run a straightened paperclip through the center of the carto/lava to grab a few extra drops from in there. After that, a little more sucking, blowing, and vaping and the juice will clear out of the center.

just woke up from a very long nap....idk...im not understanding what your trying to tell me. I wish I wasn't so flippin stupid about this. I can't ever see through the hole in the carto once I refill a tank. I can blow juice through it onto a paper towel and I STILL can't get any airflow (cannot see through the hole in the carto...so I know its clogged or flooded.) I just watch all the juice slowly leave the tank onto the paper towel. It's the same with my lava tank. I'm just taking the top off, refilling, and putting the top back on EXACTLY the way it's shown in the maintenance video. darn it all to heck...frustrating.

i think that whatever you're punching your cartos with may be puncturing the straw in the middle. i'm no expert and i have no clue why it wouldn't leak out on a fresh carto but that sounds pretty weird. i can't think of any other reason for that to happen. is it coming out of the carto battery connection hole or out of the sides of the carto where it seals to the bottom cap of the tank? i have to go to bed now but hopefully someone else can help you out. i gotta be up in less than 5 hours lol. i'll check back on you tomorrow after i get home from work
