well all the juice is rushing somewhere but no vapor. when i suck to hard my mouth is full of liquid. i'm assuming i made the second hoke to big? i never heard a click when i used the saddle thingamajig. (first time, just picked it up at store)

I'm guessing you poked thru the inner tube maybe? Did you have the needle in the carto? You have to be very careful when using that saddle valve. I actually punched my last few ones with a self-tapping screw and hammer, because the saddle valve was giving me so much grief!

tybin, are you using Boge carto's? Could you post a closeup picture of what the holes look like? What are you using to make the holes?

i used that 1/4 saddle valve from lowes. i just got it today for under 4.00. i slid a phid needle inside but then i had to use a screw to finish the hole as the second time i barely made a dent. unfortunately i made the hole too low. i'll see about a pic

I'm not crazy about those saddle valves tybin. The holes I make may even be a tiny bit smaller than Jon's. the one you made looks quite a bit larger than anything I've made. I've not tried the "insert a pin to protect the inerds" technique because I've never had that problem. Here is a close up of the holes I make.

Tyb, here's what I found. If you fill it before you punch it you won't hear a pop. So I punch first. Then after the pop just turn about 3/4 turn, back out the center pin and you should be good to go. I only do one hole and have had no dry hits.
