ok, another carto learning question. i used a pen cap to try and push the carto in the tank. problem is the filler got pushed half way down the carto i pulled the guts up with a pair of tweezers. will it still be useable?

and it's such a pity. that one had my best holes punched yet. i think i should exchange my saddle valve since it wants to punch the hole on the side instead of the top

The side punch was one of the causes for wasted cartos with mine.

By carefully centering the carto, the side punch hasn't been too much of a problem. The problem is getting the holes the right size and not puncturing the tube.

Do you need some help getting it going.....Have you used the Lava yet......What can I do to help you along. Your method of inserting the carto seems very unorthodox. You should use a drip tip to help guide the carto through.

what he said. A small drip tip on the carto, and push the carto up through the bottom.

VIP Vapor asked if I could return the punch. I guess you won't be seeing a phenomenal deal on this one in the classies.

Tybin, I had to fiddle with it (the saddle valve) to get it to punch centered. something that was long forgotten but really works well for me is the spring loaded punch from harbor freight. Other than that your best bet is the new jig snoopy and pete54 are using.

See.......I put a little liquid on the bottom of the carto ....just above the threads.....then I place the open part of the carto facing down on my countertop......push the botton part of the tank over the threaded part of the cart just past the threads......

I know that the VIP carto jig isn't cheap....But I have to say it is worth every dime.
