No offense but it has to be a real tree. I've had a real tree ever since I was a child to not have one at this point would be like skipping Xmas to me. Well presents are set for the girls. Time for bed. I'm sure I'll be up soon.

At caseace.......I've been watching your adventures with the Christmas tree When my son was 2 years old........we lived in a tiny apt and he had the bedroom and I slept on the couch.........long story short in the middle of the nite the tree fell on me and woke me up.......thought someone had broken in......one of my funniest Christmas memories.......your story brought it back.....thanks

Hee hee, tying the tree to the wall was standard practice at my house. We had cats. One of my favorite tree memories was when our son was not quite 17 months old. He would reach for a bulb on the tree and I'd say "no no" and he'd look at me with this "sorry ma I can't stop now" look and grab it and run. Little brat! He's 16 this year and I remember it like yesterday. Man that kid gave me grey hairs when he was little. Thank goodness he's a great teenager. I'm so blessed.
