Inside the lava tank is a ce2.

I actually prefer the CE2's, I placed one in my Lava Tube over the weekend and I prefer it a lot more than a cartos.
Now, I have to purchase some more CE2's.

I love your Lava Tube HzG8rGrl
It's very pretty and I love the color, very nice!!!

I think Capt. might have an old Jonboy CE2 he would probably wanna part with.

I don't know if he still has them, but TitanRich was talking about selling his also. I think the CE2's can still be used with a Lavatank tho. You will have to cut a short piece of the tubing and put it in the top cap. The only drawback I see tho, is having to dig the little white rubber cap out every time you fill. One case where the fill port would come in real handy.

You are correct. Basically, you sleeve the top cap.

Morning folks!

Good Morning Corps! Up early to catch the plane back to Phoenix. Ugggh - I'm so used to sleeping in for the last several days I feel like a zombie right now!

I definitely resemble that statement... Third day in a row up before 7 on vacation  between dropping people at the airport and the stupid dentist.
Safe travels Tas.

Thanks! It's actually darker than the picture shows-hard to get a good lighting to show the true colors of these beauties.

Middle of nowhere
I am not going to sleeve the top cap. Well not like most think anyways.
I guess I need to build this.
If anybody else wants to try this. Here is what I plan to do.
Simple
Get a SS or a black(steel)ce2.
If it is black you will need to peel the label and remove the sticky from the out side.
Take your Lava. Take ce2 and put bottom of Lava on it. Then hold the top on(no tube).
Then measure from the bottom of top cap to top of bottom cap.
After you have the measurements you will need to cut a new tube,
Put Lava back together and test fit the ce2. Hopefully it is right.
Ce2 needs to fit snug in the top cap not tight.
If the tube is too long then you can sand it down.
If too short you will just have more sticking out of bottom. (cut a tad long next time)
Take apart again but this time leave the ce2 in the bottom cap.
If you have a Dremel tool just cut a slot a tad above and parallel with the bottom cap.
Then cut another slot an inch up from the previous slot.
DO NOT cut deep you will damage the ce2 or cut the wicks.
Use a little sand paper to insure no rough spurs are sticking up that would cut the o-ring.

If you do not have a Dremel then you can use a hacksaw or etc...................
I would recommend marking the cuts and removing the ce2 from the bottom cap first if not using a Dremel.
You will not be able to fill top top.
Maybe 3/4 full. If you fill to top it will flood the ce2.
I would not recommend laying it on it's side either.

:rules:Disclaimer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rules:
If you break your Lava I am not responsible.
DO NOT CRY TO ME OR ANY ONE ELSE.
No one is forcing you to do this.
It is just the way I do DC tanks to make the work with a ce2.
If you need more help just post or P.M. me here.

That took longer to type then it would to make.
