Hi everyone!! Been a bit since I been on here. Just wanted to stop by and say hi. Hope you all are doing great. Been super busy lately do gonna try to find a way to catch up. Hope I haven't missed anything!
Can anybody tell me if the COV carto punch is worth the money or if I should just get a saddle valve? I ruined my other carto punch somehow.. the screw is bent and rotates oddly now.
I have the one from VIP Vapor Cig that Dino suggested and while I was skeptical of laying down $40 at first it is very worth it!! Not sure if the COV one is the same? Either way, get a saddle valve while you wait. They're about $6-$8 at your local hardware store and make a good backup in any case if you're careful with then.
I have the VIP one and it was worth every penny. The COV one looks similar.
Thanks guys. Now I just need to find out if they are the same. The VIP is always out of stock when I check but COV has them now. They look the same...

It looks like the piercing screws might be just a little different on the tip, but I'd say they are pretty darn close to being the same. I also have the VIP jig and it's the best $45.00 that I've spent.

+1 on the video summer, anyone know why the screen is frozen unless I keep moving my mouse over the screen? Weird!
TY Laurel ..................BUT, they are sold out........... I have a flameworker friend who was gonna make me a dragonfly and a frog but needed the tube with the right od/id to put the work on. Sorta like a phiniac but not as busy. IMHO a phiniac plus a lava would be too much and look busy. I wanted a glass tube with a little glass doodad to accent the wonderful Lava tank. Oh my...........more stalking needed to await stock.ugh! Thanks for the link.

Ditto!! My tank twin! It's not my first lava but it's my first Ming! I'm loving it! Pictures really can't do this Blue Panther justice, CASEACE79 did a really great job getting a decent picture. I think mine may be a bit darker, not as much of the lighter color but it's there you can see it really good in the sunlight. It shines!!
Plus, this is my first Lava with the beefy design. All my Lavas are the original pawn style, until the Blue Panther! The Ming does fit tight but you can get one of those jar top things (looks like a rubber net) . . . I got one and cut it into 4 pieces, works great, the top doesn't spin with that on it and you can wiggle it a lot better. Works like a charm for getting the top off without any "bad harmful results".
