Lava Tank Rules & Sales Updates : Lavacorps - Page 5 - International Vapers Club

The "any" rule was not addressed to the general public so don't feel bad. It didn't affect me one way or the other but no one should beat themself up for not getting a tank because of this "any" rule that at some point some where was agreed to. The question is if you're somewhat of an outsider and you want one of these gorgeous pieces of art what "subtle" rules changes will be in effect for future sales.

This "so called" rule change has been known at least since I've been interested (which was many many months and many many sales ago) and was discussed MANY times last night before the sale and many, many times in this thread prior to that. I doubt anyone withheld that information deliberately. The people who hang out here are without a doubt, some of the most helpful on the forum and considering how helping a newbie hurts their own chances, I find it wonderful and refreshing just how helpful they are. I would think if you're that interested in getting a tank, you'd come in and hang out a bit and ask questions. I've know about the "any" option for a long time, just by hanging out and talking to people.

Keeno, The any choice is not a subtle rule change just for the lavacorps,its been in effect scince I started trying to score a tank and its been over 3 months and 4 sale nights! so don't feel like an outsider just do some reading of older posts and ask questions before the sale date everyone here are very helpful to all newbees!

That is a great piece of advice. When I came in here I did a lot of reading and asking and I come around everyday to see what is happening. Certain types of stalking are frowned upon but stalking this thread if you want a LavaTank is kinda mandatory imho.

Well I didnt get a tank, but It was awesome being the only Canadian (probably the only one) crazy enough to jump into the ring with you folks, I tried hard to join the corps but last night wasnt my night, until next time

It's usually 2-3 weeks between batches. Come hang out. I'm a firm believer that the more you hang out the better your chances are on sale night.

You're right about all or most of what you said about the people here. I NEVER said or insinuated that anyone was trying to hide any information to keep anyone of getting a tank. All I'm saying are the facts. I'm not naturally a super chatty person on line. BUT I did spend more than a couple hours researching information to get one of these tanks. I had the "rules" as listed in the link down pat. Again, if your somewhat of an outsider as in you don't or cant spend alot of time in this thread and don't know of subtle rules changes as discussed within the thread ones chances of getting a tank are somewhat lessoned.

Also, I think it was very "cool" that a bunch of "members" were willing to sit this one out for the newbs. All I'm saying is rather than defend what is great with blinders on just take a look at how to make things maybe even greater for those wanting one of these tanks. As I stated in my earlier post I don't feel those who didn't get a tank should be beating themselves up over this "rule" that at some point was enacted. Bottom line though is get your pm in in that first minute then all this is mute. Again, congrats to all the winners.

This is the very first lava tank I ever laid eyes on. It was on Summer Dawns video. I fell in love with everything about it. Last week a wonderful lava corps offered me a trade. She wanted a ming, and I had been drooling over this one! I love it. Thanks to all of you for starting this thread.

I was so excited to get the Lilac Pearl Ming...fell in love with it when the first pictures were shown. Everyone have a Great Day...better get some work done around the house this afternoon

That is true. I didn't put any because I wasn't 100% sure it was ok to do so. I am not sure about other sale nights, I do know that last night was nuts because of the internet being so slow.

Being kind of silly.

The rules are clearly posted and all the Lavacops member do a great job answering questions when asked.

To be honest, they have been really nice about telling all of us the trade secrets that help people to score the tanks. The tips and tricks that they offered (like getting pm's ready early) they did not have to share, but the continue to do so.

Its just sour grapes. I did not get one and I am not complaining. I just will have to try again till I win, and then try to win some more.
