Asus has some cool stuff in the pipeline. I think the ghost of the Jobber moved to China.
Have you played with the Droid Razr? Seriously, that thing is soooo fast. My wife has one. I dare say it's near as fast as my nexus is. They've really refined it. Now that google owns motorola, that thing is going to be lightning fast with ice cream sandwich, plus they have lapdocks for the razr. Even though it's a few months old now and still running gingerbread, it's a beast. I'd be content with it, especially with verizon's lte.I'm on the hunt right now so I've been waiting for all the new releases from MWC. The Asus is totally different than the Dell Streak or Samsung Note. It's actually a 4.3 phone that has a 10" tablet you can dock the phone into using the phone processor on a big screen. Pretty sweet in concept but we'll see...

That's a baller setup right there. The RazrMax would be nice for more battery life, you'd easily double what you get now for slightly more bulk. I'm excited to see the galaxy tab 2. If they are as good as I'm hoping, I may pick one up.I have a Razr on Verizon 4G LTE, and I am in love with it. I had a thunderbolt, but the battery life was ridiculous. I had to carry at least 3 batteries around with me all the time. I had 6 in rotation. I was worried about the Razr because it has an internal battery, but it has been pretty good. I can still kill the battery in 4-6 hours if I am on the phone constantly with my bluetooth, or playing games or something, but usually I get 10-12 hours out of it with normal use, and that is sufficient for me. I looked at the lapdock, but I have a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 on the 4g LTE service and with both devices I rarely have to take my laptop with me.
Yes, there was a discussion about it yesterday at the other place.
My first android was the evo 4g. I loved sense...until I got the thunderbolt and started running senseless roms. The thunderbolt was a freaking dog and a battery hog. By the time they finally got it onto an official gingerbread rom, the nexus was coming out. Software has finally caught up to hardware with ice cream sandwich on dual core processors. I'm sure everything will keep improving but the differences in performance with hardware are going to be minimal and power consumption is going to skyrocket. The best thing about the nexus is that it isn't bogged down with custom UI skins, that and the fact that any software updates are being pushed directly from google with no real manufacturer or carrier bloatware/intervention. Software is coming from the maker with no middleman software devs messing it up. Any future updates will come as they are available by google. I love knowing my phone will be the first to get the latest and greatest features. The Razr Maxx and GNexus are the top dogs right now but I'm an HTC guy. I may be in the minority but I love Sense and 4.0 looks like it's getting closer to vanilla ICS anyways. Motorola's phones still don't hit all the features I'm looking for in my next phone and the Galaxy Nexus doesn't quite do it for me. I'm still rockin my original Droid Incredible and I'm OK to wait for a few more months to see what else comes out.
Good evening lavacorps! Was away over the weekend. Hope everyone is doing well!!
