Dammit! I just ordered 18 packs this past weekend, came out to $90 at healthcabin. Also paid for faster shipping tho. Came out to around $5 a pack. Was thinking if I got a few people to throw in for an order over $250 it would end up costing about 3.75 per pack of 5
Yeah, it was about .86 per carto and total of 4.30 per box of 5 @ 10 boxes per order. The thing to consider is the shipping cost and payment fees. It adds up very quickly. 10 box orders go over 13 oz which is the cut-off for first class mail, so you're stuck with priority mail at 5.35 per 10 boxes. Factor payment fees on top of that and you see your boxes much higher. That's why I wanted to do such a large bulk order to get the 20% discount. At the time, I didn't realize they were doing their big sale for 20% on smaller orders but I was ready to go, either way.

Honestly, running the co-op is currently the absolute cheapest way to go.

But, the nice thing about taking the initiative to run the co-op is that you don't have to pay any fees or shipping for your own stuff, so you come out slightly ahead. I see it as payment for the work and time going into the organization, tracking, packaging, shipping, etc. Still, if anything goes wrong, you're the one with everyone's money, so you're responsible for investigating and getting everything figured out. Co-ops are buyer beware but to just give up if something goes wrong would be a pretty douchey move.
