Evening everyone, just put in a LOOONG day of polishing only to see that we had some "drama" here. I'm not permitted to say much here on ECF, but I did leave a message on my patent attorney's voice mail.

I just love that someone can copy someone's design, present it as there own with no shame at all. And then people can go there and bash Jon and us....people that we welcomed with open arms and were nothing but nice to. Lots of sour grapes cause maybe they tried in a sale and weren't successful...well welcome to the club....we lose out on sales too. It's how it works and Jon has always been nothing but fair. And now you go and talk smack about us and call us fanboy/fangirl, a cult...whatever...doesn't matter. WE are a FAMILY...we welcomed many of you into it and you choose to do this. Jon is simply one man making these tanks. It is hard for him to keep up with a full time job, his family, and making these tanks. Could he mass produce them and make more money, you bet. But Jon takes pride in his work....work others think it is okay to copy.

So go ahead and go buy the knock off tanks...leaves more lavas for me....I will stick with the BMW.....and you can have the yugos

I would think that "documenting" the similarities, as well as background info is warranted. "Knowledge is power".

He even copied your names. Won't ship international like Jonboyusmc's does either. Jonboyusmc's tanks look like better quality and more consistent. Might as well be a Chinese made copy. Stick with the original. It is usually the best.

There are always imitators but what people collect and remember is always the original brand. Let those without patience buy the attempted copy but I will wait and continue to try to get an Original Lava Tank. I have missed getting one on 4 purchases dates now and I am still not jumping ship. When I get a Lava Tank it will be the real deal!
