While you are both certainly entitled to your opinions, you won't find many people in this thread that agree with you. Most people that have "lavacorps" in their signatures find that the lavatank is perfectly suited to their needs and does not need to be improved upon or copied by other suppliers. I think you're preaching to the wrong choir.

First of all, the term "......ed" is regarded as an offensive term and ignorant to use in this context. It suggests a defect in people. To use your term, "......ed" people are not defective, just each individually different. So-called "......ed" people often have special talents that "normals" do not possess. The accepted term is "developmentally handicapped."

Now, let's get back on topic. Let's take for example a patented product. In order to not violate the patent there must be three significant improvements upon the original product. Do these copy tanks have three significant improvements? I think not. They are basically the same shape, made with the exact same material and the colors are even called the same names. I see nothing in them that "evolved" the tanks to a new or higher level. These are just blatant rip-offs. I suspect the maker of these copy tanks bought an original Lava Tank, measured it and then put the measurements into his computerized CNC lathe and copied away. The only slight difference appears to be the mouthpiece, which appears to be a hybrid pawn-ming shape. Oh yea, and for the same price, no cartomizer is included. Copying things doesn't evolve or improve anything. It is just a facsimile of the original and nothing more. If he had made significant improvements, or made them look different that would be another story. But this guy is just trying to cash in on the demand for Jonboyusmc's tanks. Enough said.

I did and even after your attempt to backtrack, get offended by your remarks caponespops. This is not the first time Jon's work has been copied and after the last time, he got a lawyer and patented his one piece top design. I guess we'll see what his lawyers think.

I never went into emsmom's thread and bashed her although given the chance she will know my feelings on this, so if all you or anyone else have to do is bash us and defend her for her actions, you can leave.

constant state of confusion
ummm Ming and pawn have been around for centuries....it is simply a shape.....maybe I can patent circle and square. and like the others said, you are disrupting Jon's thread. You are more than welcome to be here but it would appear you are here to do nothing more than disrupt.

and Jaq..get with Fred or Lily about a banner

If Jon is smart he'll License the patent and make a little $$ on the side and have to do no work.

Reality of it is its Cost Prohibitive to try and take someone to court, Patent Attorneys aren't exactly working for free these days. And He isn't exactly getting rich off of selling a few tanks. Sadly it is what it is.

As far as the names, They're the names of the colored pen blanks from Bear tooth woods. Can't exactly get mad about some one using the same blanks and consequently the same names.

And nothing I have said here is or was intended as a insult toward the group. Just common sense thinking is all.

The three changes in patents need to be, Form, Fit and Function. This is why patent infringement is left to lawyers and experts.

This is Jon's thread, I too would suggest if you want to debate this, create a different thread to do so.

Right now I am sure Jon is feeling a bit off about all of this so lets show some respect.

This does not mean we shouldn't voice ourselves, just elsewhere.

FYI the tanks are loose and comes off with no effort.. If you look at some of his batches you will see a similar design as the mouthpiece and unless you put it next to it your size can be disregarded... So you starting trouble about a product you have yet to try is for what reason?...

Don't flatter yourself, you didn't stump anyone. I you could read, you'd see that. The pawn and ming shapes have been around for centuries. With what your saying, anyone that has used either of these shapes in the E-Cig industry copied them including CherryVapes.
