Drove 4 hrs to Chicago hoping to get to see the lava tanks in person and get my hands on one, still no luck!maybe I am just not supposed to have one
What happened.....you get there late??
Maybe you could have someone try for you. Jon always lets us know what will be available before the actual sale.

When the sales are announced is there a set time. I can step away from work for a few minutes.

The last sale was at that forum......jon is a member there as well and you will pm him there if the sale is held there. Keep watching that thread for possible changes to the rules or where the sale will be held. GOOD LUCK!!!! I truly hope you score the Lava of your dreams....
A very set time. read the above thread and you will know. You could take a couple minutes and nail it. Just have everything ready to go and cross your fingers.
You guys are great. Sorry to add more competition. I'm really excited to own one I think they are the best looking tanks out there to be honest. I'll try my hardest. One disadvantage is I'll be using my cell. But I'm going to be positive and hope for the best.

I hope if your using your cell you have 3G at the very least and preferably 4G!!....LOL. Do your best to not become to discouraged if you don't land one and just keep trying.....

Thanks Keeno! I have 4g. But part of me thinks the other site may not be blocked on my work computer so I may be in luck there. ECF is blocked of course lol.

Are abbreviations allowed like instead of saying lava lamp 1 2 or 3 could I say L Lamp 1 2 3 or just LL 1 2 3

hey people...any nighthawks like myself out there who can advise me on what I can use to get the sticky residue off of my cart after peeling off the black cover? I need to put it in a tank and I'm not doing it with that sticky gunk on there. I read somewhere that peanut butter works but we're not a PB household so we have none. And, I sure as heck ain't running to the grocery store at 2am. so, I'm open for suggestions...
Ya happen to have any isopropyl alcohol around the house?? I've never peeled before but that should do the trick....others with this sort of experience may chime in at some point.....
I use isopropyl alcohol and a paper towel to get that residue off. There's usually a couple little bits that are easier to scrape off with a fingernail, but the alcohol works well for the residue.
