Thanks all for advice. Got my boge to fit yes it is a tight fit. Probably will get easier as it wears in. However I filled a tank and it worked great but came back a few hours later to a drained tank and mess. Let me know if problem could be that I punched two holes in carto. Noticed my lower hole was too low and then punched a third at correct height. The original hole was punched at a point that was not even visible in tank. Could this have been reason for leak or maybe I hurt o ring trying to squeeze carto into tank.

The hole that was too low was probably the culprit. The tube needs to be perfectly round where it meets the o ring.

Sounds like you punched a hole below the oring. Try making a little mock up jig so you punch holes at the correct height everytime.

One other thing it could be is some folks have been having a couple of issues with the Smoktech carto's...do you have a Boge carto you can replace it with? I suggest trying that too. :)

Afternoon gang!

I just slotted a new carto to replace the carto that came with the tank.. I have come to the conclusion that I like slotting better than punching, I feel like I am getting a better draw with the slots.. It's probably all in my mind but that's what I'm going with...

Hopefully it is as beautiful outside wherever you are that it is here.. Think I'll do outside stuff all day, culminate with a marinated pork loin on the grill and cap the day off watching the Capitals game tonight. Have a great day!!

When I was still using a saddle valve, punching cartos would really squish the center air tube and kill the airflow through the carto. Once I got a proper carto punch, this never happened again. If slotting works for you, by all means do it, but just be careful of the O ring in the bottom cap.

Oh and good morning Lavacorps.
