The fact is, if people didn't pay that high of a price then folks wouldn't be selling them at inflated prices. Personally, I've always thought Jon under priced his tanks. Please don't shoot me, folks! I do appreciate the fact that they aren't any more expensive than they are, especially since I would like to eventually replace all of my tanks with Jonboy's. I have a few other tanks that look really pretty, but it is pure torture to get the caps off so they have just been sitting there lately.

Good morning everyone. Got some work done yesterday on a new design, and now have a prototype that I'm vaping. You should be seeing these in the next sale, and hopefully something even bigger and better with a larger volume to help offset the demand in another design. Stay tuned.
I had originally planned to sit out the next sale since I received a tank in the last sale, but Jon sure makes it hard to contemplate missing a sale. As much as I want to give other people a chance to purchase a tank, the idea of a new design is enthralling. I hope Jon's plans of a larger volume comes to fruition so I can participate freely without feeling like I'm taking away someone else's chance of owning a tank.

I wouldn't concern myself with sitting out a sale to increase someone else's odds as the effect would be minimal......good intentioned peeps and those committed to owning them should have them not those looking to fund their next mod on Jon's creativity and work.

This is what I was saying. Some people want one so bad they are willing to pay those crazy high prices. Those sellers are taking advantage of these wants. You could say in a bad way but that would all perspective based, and whose perspective it is. I do think the tanks (when sold to us from Jonboy) are reasonably priced. But underpriced? I don't know what the actual production cost is but I would think Jon would want to make a profit on these. Especially at this point with them being such a hot item. (I'm not trying to speak for Jon and don'y know anything for sure )

I totally agree, and it might just give one of those people who purchase to resell immediately and fund a new mod a better chance. I myself am totally in love  with these tanks and couldn't dream of selling them. I wish every tank I had was a Lava.

while I'm all for capitalism, latest price gauging is getting a bit out of hand.

I was able to obtain 2 tanks within a month time, without too much trouble, from nice folks here on ecf, without getting ripped off.

as a Lavatank owner maybe I should be happy that the value of my tanks are going up but I don't know... I feel bad for folks that are struggling so hard that they are willing to pay out the nose for it.

with little patience I think you could find a fair deal.

Steal or not it aint gonna happen. I will sell them for the price I paid plus shipping.
Problem is it's hard just thinking about selling them.
Much more actually doing it.

$75 would be a steal.........going rate last couple of weeks has been in the $125 range.......rediculous scammers.....

It is awful RIMP, I've always thought that people here were in the mindset of helping one another. I do find comfort in knowing that most are that way and there's just a few of them that are out to help themselves by ripping off others.

It's a shame that someone would charge another $125 for a tank that they paid less than $60 for. :( But it will happen because there are greedy people that have no morals and sleep just fine after ripping off another.
Ma'am, I am going to remember this guys name because I don't want to do business with him. I've never really seen him post here or at ivc. I am going to chose to remember the people who can and do show Lava love! Case pm'ed a pageful of tips and hints for sale night. He didn't have to, but he wanted to share the knowledge he has acquired so that I might have success too. Ajohnson picked up a lava for me at vapebash. He spent his time mailing it to me. All for the cost of it and shipping. He has never met me. That was the first brand new lava I got. Despite Case's good advice I still couldn't get one. These are the things I am going to remember. I've been on here long enough to know these are not isolated acts, but the norm.

I just read a post that really lit my fire.
All I'm going to say is It just burns my .... when you/or your friends be nice to someone and you or your friends bend over backwards to help them then they turn around and bad mouth you or them.
I will not say anymore as I'm so ...... off, except.................
They actually got a tank that I got so upset when I did not get it.
I even thought about vacating the lavacorps over it.

I hope this wasn't directed at me, I was only expressing my thoughts on the situation. It was never my intent to upset anyone. Plus I never plan on selling my Lava tank. Not the one I now own nor the ones I hope to eventually own. I know I am new to the Lavacorps (not even really sure I am in it) but I do hope to help contribute to it over time.

hey, the thread needed a little livening up:w00t:

Nothing like some good natured back and forth :)

I hate to say it but over pricing e-cig stuff is the norm. I know I paid over 2 times the selling price of an Ody to get my first one and it was used but I wanted one bad. If there is something out there that is in demand and there is no more stock at the vender then the price just goes up in the classifieds. Look at the Kick's that have been selling at more then they sold for new and the Kick is easy to get. There are tons of things in the classifieds that sell for a lot more then a vender sells them for. Zenesis, Genesis stuff, GG stuff, Line stuff, Katana, Orion just to name a few. Lava tanks are no different. It's silly to think it wont happen with them too. People want them and don't want to wait or do the work to get one so they are willing to pay more to get one just like I was to do to get my first Ody. I'm sure this will go on for as long as things are not stock items. When I got my first Harley you needed to be on a list for a year before you got a call from the dealer telling you they had a bike for you to buy. Back then you could resell a used Harley for more then you paid for it. Now Harley has new bikes in their showrooms for you to buy and the price of used Harley's have dropped a ton. It's just the way the world we all live in works.
