Jon,

I understand you reasoning for this decision, and it just flat out sucks that you have been put in this position. My recommendation would be to go forward with using Dwolla for the sale of the SS tanks, but look into getting a merchant account setup so you can take Credit Cards directly. If that has to increase the cost of the tanks by a small percentage, then so be it. Ultimately, you have to do what is best for you. You are certainly not the only supplier on this forum or in this industry that is having to deal with these issues, and I am sure there are other options out there that could work out for you.

No matter what happens, you have my support.

There are a million and one cheap or free websites with online merchant accounts because they take a small percentage of your profit (we're talking penny on a dollar). Instead of forwarding the huge risk to your customers. Dwolla had a huge scandal with their Tradehill incident. They are not a safe website for people to enter their social security number and checking account info. I would explore other avenues.

For those registering with dwolla I hope you do your research first. Identity theft can be pretty devestating, especially if you're already struggling. I went through it with paypal years ago and wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Dwolla is cool. Been using it for quite some time. I hope Jon gives us all a few days to complete the setup of the Dwolla account before the next sale. It can take up to 6 or 7 business days before we can use it. It wouldn't be fair to those who are just setting one up.

I'm sure there will be plenty of time......

I just had to come show off my Bedazzled (glass tube) Lava Tank...can you imagine how cool these would look on a SS Lava tank? :)

$12.95 a month fee and first 2 months free it looks like... maybe an option for you Jon. :)

Response from Intuit regarding e-cig related product sales.

Okay. I apologize, but we do not accept applications from businesses of your type at this time. Our Underwriting department is responsible for application approvals, and they would be able to provide you with a more specific reason. For additional details, you can reach them at 800-558-9558.

Haven't ever heard one darn good thing about dwolla. The internet is absolutely littered with complaints about dwolla. Not only buyer problems, but major problems with sellers trying to collect their cash. Just can't see myself signing up with them. The money I do have is I feel is secure, and I don't want to chance an empty account on dwolla. I would bypass all this electric money and just accept money orders. No fees that way. Dwolla sucks!!!!

have you tried squareup.com? Its a merchant account anyone can get, business or not....the reader is free and you can manually enter CC info if need be. It uses any cell phone.
